Chapter 465 - Chapter 465: Journey to the West: Legends of Demons

The Blood God Ancestor—none other than the vampire Qin Ming—was currently walking through the town.

This town was his territory, named Redwind Town. It had a sizeable population, and most notably, a large temple sat within it—dedicated to none other than him.

Because of that, Qin Ming was considered a local celebrity here. As he walked down the street, the men, women, and children around him all greeted him with sincere respect.

Seeing this scene finally allowed Qin Ming to breathe a sigh of relief.

During this time, he had also finished checking his title missions for this world—and once again, there were three. All of them were extremely unique.

Most importantly—they were very high in rank!

[Title Mission 1: The Hell You Say You're the Gold and Silver Boys?!]

[Objective: Completely kill one of the Gold or Silver Boys]

[Reward: Radiant Silver Title – "Powerhouse" (+20 to all attributes)]

[Title Description: Don't show that old pill-cooking geezer Tai Shang Lao Jun any respect! He's just an alchemist, what's to be afraid of? Wreck him!]

[Title Mission 2: The Hell You Say You're Monkey Sun?!]

[Objective: Kill Sun Wukong]

[Reward: Golden Title – "Great Sage Equaling Heaven" (Gain 10 bonus free attribute points every time you enter a mission world)]

[Title Description: So Samadhi True Fire can't burn you? That doesn't mean I can't kill you! Let's find out if my blade works on your monkey head!]

[Title Mission 3: The Hell You Say You're Golden Cicada?!]

[Objective: Kill Tang Sanzang (a.k.a. the monk)**

[Reward: Golden Title – "Immortal" (Gain powerful regenerative ability)]

[Title Description: Tenth-life Golden Cicada? Sha Wujing could eat nine of them—why can't I eat one? Time to chow down!]

As Qin Ming walked the streets, looking over these three titles, his face had completely darkened.

Damn! These title missions are savage! Just look at what they want me to do!

Kill the Gold or Silver Boy! Kill Sun Wukong! Or even kill Tang Sanzang!?

It wasn't just that these four were a nightmare to fight—their backgrounds made things way worse.

The Gold and Silver Boys were backed by Tai Shang Lao Jun! What? You don't know who that is?

Go look up the Three Pure Ones—he's the one sitting in the middle!

Qin Ming didn't know exactly how strong Tai Shang Lao Jun was, but he did know that his mount, the Green Bull, and his two attendants—the very Gold and Silver Boys in question—became one of the strongest bosses in all of Journey to the West just by borrowing a few of Lao Jun's treasures.

And those so-called "treasures"? The Golden Circlet that knocked out Sun Wukong was just Lao Jun's bull-tethering ring.

The Rope of Illusion was a belt, the Crimson Gourd and Jade Bottle were for storing pills and water, and the Banana Fan was literally used to fan the alchemy furnace.

The only thing that even resembled a weapon was the decorative Seven-Star Sword on his belt—and even that was barely considered a real weapon.

And yet just those few items were enough to leave Sun Wukong and company totally dazed—so how terrifying must Lao Jun himself be?

Even if he weren't strong, the guy was an alchemist! You ever seen a top-tier doctor with no connections? Just handing out a few pills and you'd have people lining up to pound Qin Ming into paste.

Blood God Ancestor? More like Hemorrhaging God Ancestor, at this rate!

And let's not forget the Monkey and the Monk! One was notoriously unkillable, and the other was Buddha's top disciple!

If Qin Ming so much as grilled Tang Sanzang, he'd probably be grilled by the Buddha himself the very next second!

That kind of crime? Forget five hundred years in prison—even five thousand might not be enough!

Staring at those three extremely high-level titles, Qin Ming didn't have the slightest intention of trying to complete them.

Not because he couldn't—but because he didn't dare. He was seriously afraid someone might throw him straight into a furnace for real!

Better to focus on completing the Chosen mission and not get greedy.

The waters of Journey to the West ran deep—and the big shots were everywhere. As a lowly vampire marquis, he just couldn't afford to stir up trouble. Better to play it safe.

After all, "Vampire Marquis" might sound like a big deal in other worlds, but in this place? He was basically just a bat demon.

Just as Qin Ming was frowning and contemplating what to do next, something ahead suddenly made him freeze in his tracks.

The next second, Qin Ming suddenly raised his head. His pupils contracted sharply, and his body instantly exploded into a mist of blood that drifted sideways.

At the exact moment he vanished, footsteps sounded ahead, and a group of people emerged from around the corner.

This group was very distinctive in appearance. Leading the way was a humanoid monkey wearing clothes, carrying an iron staff on his shoulder with one hand and holding the reins of a horse with the other.

Behind him was a white fine horse, on which sat a neatly dressed, very handsome monk.

Following closely behind were a pig demon carrying a rake and a burly man balancing a shoulder pole.

All of them wore monk robes. Because of their unusual appearance, nearby passersby quickly gave them space.

As they stepped around the corner, the monkey demon in front, who had been chatting with the pig demon, suddenly stopped.

He loosened the reins and swung his iron staff behind his back. Frowning, he took two cautious steps forward, scanning the surroundings warily.

Seeing him stop, the monk on the horse spoke up in confusion.

"Wukong, what's wrong?"

"Master! There's demon energy! Very strong demon energy!"

As he spoke, Sun Wukong's gaze sharpened, golden light flickering in his eyes—clearly, he had activated his Fiery Eyes of Truth skill and was scrutinizing the crowd.

Before Tang Sanzang could respond, Pigsy, who was carrying the rake, grinned foolishly and said in his usual goofy tone,

"Hey Master, don't listen to Monkey Brother's nonsense. This monkey's always jumpy. Where would demons be in the city? If there were demons, wouldn't the pedestrians have run away already? I bet the only problem is that this monkey just hasn't bathed."

"Dummy! What are you talking about? Want a beating or what?"

"Master, look at him! Getting angry out of embarrassment! This monkey is skinny, and he's not hungry—but doesn't that mean others might be? We've been traveling all day! Master must be starving!"

"I'm telling you, dummy—you're the one who's hungry!"

"Well, we three—Master, me, and Brother Sha—are all hungry! Right, Brother Sha?"

Hearing the quarrel ahead, Sha Wujing, who had been silently carrying the luggage and following the group, quickly set down his shoulder pole.

"Second Brother, better watch your words—Master Brother might really hit you."

Wiping the sweat from his forehead, Sha Wujing looked up at the sun with a frown.

"Master Brother, it's already noon. Master hasn't eaten all day. We should find somewhere to eat quickly—Master's human body can't take this hunger."

Sha Wujing's words made Sun Wukong frown again. After another quick scan of the area, he nodded slightly.

Then he suddenly jumped over to an old man passing by.

"Hey, old sir, could you kindly tell me if there's a Taoist temple or monastery nearby?"

Startled by Sun Wukong's appearance, the old man instinctively stepped back but answered.

"Yes, there's a Blood God Temple in the city center, dedicated to a Blood God Ancestor. Little monkey demon, don't cause trouble here. That ancestor's very powerful! Within five hundred miles, no demon dares act recklessly. Anyone who comes ends up drained of blood and dead!"

"Ho? Blood God Ancestor? What big talk."

Sun Wukong's eyes flicked thoughtfully. From the old man's tone when mentioning the Blood God Temple, he roughly understood the situation here.

Returning to the group, he immediately spoke up.

"Master, the source of the demon energy is found. There's a wild demon in this city called the Blood God Ancestor. Seems pretty formidable. The townsfolk trust him a lot."

Tang Sanzang was slightly surprised by this.

"Demon? Wukong, if he can protect the region, he shouldn't be called a demon, but a revered one. Since there's no danger, let's find a place to rest and collect alms."

"All right! Dummy! This time, you go collect alms!"

"Huh? Old Pig—me? Why me?"

"You do nothing all day! Why not you? Go collect alms!"

Seeing Sun Wukong's obvious plan for revenge, Pigsy was mad but dared not argue, mumbling as he reluctantly started walking off.

In no time, the four disciples had disappeared into the distance. After they were completely out of sight, blood began to coagulate in the alley, and Qin Ming's form reappeared.

Leaning against the wall with arms crossed and a blank expression, he watched the retreating figures, his brows tightly furrowed.

He had already seen the attributes of Sun Wukong and the others.
