2 days later…
Xiao Fang had only just learned he'd been unconscious on the tournament stage for an entire week. For the two days that followed, he and Xiao Hei spent every waking moment deep on the 7th floor of the Ancestral Training Ground, harvesting beast cores to fill all ten of his high-grade spirit pendants. Once the final one was full, he finally returned home for some much-needed rest.
When he entered his room, he found Jiang Mei and Su Yun already nestled beneath the sheets, preparing for bed.
"Fang, you're back!" Jiang Mei beamed.
At the sound of her voice, Su Yun perked up. She turned toward the door, then launched herself at him the moment she saw his face.
"Fang!" she grinned. "Where the hell have you been all this time?"
"Here and there," Xiao Fang said casually. "Spent the last couple days in the Ancestral Training Ground."
"In that case, you must be exhausted. Come on," Jiang Mei said with a teasing smile, "let us help you into a bath."
