Upon returning to the inn, Breau leaped off Becca's shoulder and disappeared in a few bounds.
Becca just shook her head with a smile and headed toward Delia's room. At the door of the room, she knocked before pushing the door open.
As soon as Becca stepped in, she saw Delia sitting upright, looking at her, and pointed to the stool opposite her. Becca suddenly felt uneasy, as such a situation usually meant she had done something wrong. Thinking carefully, Becca figured it was probably because she had refused to help treat Guding and their friend, which might have angered Delia.
She slowly sat down opposite Delia, her mind whirring at high speed, searching for a better excuse for herself.
