When the Rebel Army entered the firing range of the Imperial Army, the only option left for everyone was to engage in frontal combat.
All the preparations that could be made when the enemy was en route had already been done—traps, ambushes, sneak attacks, and rear-guard artillery; now the battle was blade to blade, gun to gun. The only thing left to rely on was sheer quality. The enemy outnumbered us by a third and, with signals released over the next half hour, a significant wave of rebels, drawn by taunts, was expected to join their ranks, possibly making the enemy-to-ally ratio as high as two to one. In terms of the warship's quality, both sides were equal. This meant in a comparison of regular armies, we were at an absolute disadvantage.
At present, our side's advantage lay in a group of fierce large-scale devastating weapons.
