"Eden, this time we've really encountered a pack of hungry wolves," Su Qing said with a bitter smile. The ferocity in those eyes revealed that the wolves must have been starving for days, and they'd become the most tempting food in their eyes.
"There's no way out, we have to fight," Eden said in a deep voice, gripping his military knife tightly. They were now completely surrounded by the wolf pack, and if they didn't fight for their lives, they could only wait to die. Fortunately, there were only about twenty or so wolves in the pack which he estimated to be relatively small. If there had been hundreds or thousands, then they wouldn't even have had the chance to resist, just wait to die.
Eden and Su Qing stood back to back, firing a few shots at the wolf pack first. Ideally, the sound of gunfire would scare the wolves away, but clearly, they were not that lucky.
