Mira crashed against the Hydra, his axe failing to pierce the scales of the beast. With completely equal strength neither end could overtake the other. Their strength canceled each other out, and both bounced from each other's blows.
Crashing into the pool of crimson Spirit Mira found it more difficult to pull himself free. Each and every time he fell it grew harder, requiring more effort than the last. Slowly the pool of Spirit was threatening to swallow him whole.
He had lost track of how long he had been battling. He couldn't gauge the length through his exhaustion simply because he still held the Hydra's infinite stamina. Although this constant battle made him mentally exhausted.
