The Lunar New Year holiday had become a new cultural phenomenon. Due to the dramatic extension of human lifespans, there was a big festival every ten years, with holiday periods lasting around 30 to 40 days, during which most work would cease, and numerous entertainment events would be held.
The rest were considered minor years, with holiday durations of about 10 to 15 days.
This year just happened to be a big festival. In the past, Zhang Yuan didn't celebrate the minor years; he preferred to work on experiments in his lab, disinterested in these festivities—and there were many like him. But this year, the lab was mandatorily closed, and he had to take a break.
Suddenly being at leisure, he felt a sense of "loss," which took Zhang Yuan quite some effort to overcome this peculiar emotion.
"What's this... a Snake mini-program? It's quite good... To write such a program at such a young age, not bad at all."
