The speed of that dolphin was simply too fast—or rather, Xiang Shan's prosthetic body was indeed too slow under the water. Although the Burrow Dragon had tried to adhere as closely as possible to fluid dynamics in designing the buoyancy device, this prosthetic, primarily meant for terrestrial combat, could not achieve ultra-high speeds in the ocean.
Forcibly inhaling seawater and then heating it for propulsion wasn't impossible, but some of the weaker parts of the prosthetic might not withstand it, and in this shallow sea, doing so would create a big commotion, easily attracting the Protector's power.
Xiang Shan chased for several hundred meters, but the dolphin moved further and further away.
Xiang Shan halted in the ocean, his thoughts complex.
"Senior?" Yuan Wenren's signal came through. The others sat within the vehicle, only able to share what Xiang Shan saw. Due to the bandwidth limitations of electromagnetic signals, the quality of the images they could see was limited.
