The interviews continued, still in groups of ten at a time, still looking at photos.
But Zhang Heng didn't follow a fixed routine; sometimes he would ask each interviewee why they chose that particular order, why they wanted to look at the photos first, or why they left it until last.
He would also actually draw out some interviewees to ask them about the content of the photos, to test their observation and memory skills.
Besides the 'photo question,' Zhang Heng had prepared several other questions. There was a variety of them, so he was not worried that later interviewees would be able to prepare in advance.
In this way, the interview process took just over an hour to complete. Other than those hired on the spot, the remaining candidates were quickly shortlisted after discussions between Wu Li and Zhang Heng, rounding up to a hundred people.
These one hundred people were selected from over ten thousand applicants, which could be said to be one in a hundred.
