A new day begins.
A campfire was seen dying down. It seems that Hide was up and ready to set out to Sumiko.
It seems that Sumiko was the next stop after Drogen. Rumors are said that Sumiko seems to be a huge city that has a Colosseum which has hosted many battles.
After some couple minute of walking.
Hide made it to the outskirts of the city. Seeing the overlay of the city on a hill. He was amazed how this place seems to be more busier than Drogen.
"Wow! No wonder why Master likes to come here. This place is huge and it even has a colosseum. Maybe I should check it out when I get the chance."
Hide heads down a dirt path towards Sumiko.
Some minutes passed.
Hide was seen in a tavern. Despite looking like a young adventurer, some of the adventurers in there see his silver rank medal which Hide wore somewhat proudly.
Adventurers gossip among others along with some normal folks. Hide walks up to the tavern keeper.
"How may I help you?" As the tavern keeper seems to cleaning some glassware.
"Room for one." Hide answered back.
"Sorry but there is currently no room available. I suggest that you seek nearby places that will lend a bed for you. Although people don't fare well lending a bed."
"I see. Then is there a place that might lend me a bed."
"Well, there is a local church that can maybe lend you a bed. Or the colosseum if you are a participant. But I will say that maybe in the alleyways or the streets will have to do."
"Very well, thanks." As Hide leaves the tavern.
Hide makes it out of the tavern. He looks up at the blue clear sunny skies.
"I guess I'll have to probably camp outside the city or sleep on the streets."
Hide sighs and continue to explore the city.
He soon makes it to a marketplace.
There was a huge crowd and many booths that have many variety of items ranging from herbs to weapons.
As Hide tries to pass through the crowd. He bumps into an old man. Which the old man drops a bag full of ingredients and food.
"Sorry." As Hide picks up the food and ingredients and put it back in the bag.
The old man gets his balance and looks at Hide. Hide hands him the bag of food and ingredients.
The old man seems to be a butler of some sort around mid-fifties. In addition, he seems to be shocked and surprised to see Hide.
"Umm...are you okay?" As Hide somewhat was confused.
"Young Lord, I have found you. All this time, I thought you were dead. But here you are all well and fine." As the old butler seems to be happy with joy.
Hide somewhat was confused.
"I'm sorry but you must have confused me with someone else." As Hide replied back nicely.
"Uncle, uncle, there you are. I was looking all over for you. We need to head back to the mansion." As a young girl appear from the crowd.
"Sorry for the troubles, but sometime my uncle can be a bit loss" As the girl apologizes to Hide.
"Umm...it's fine." As Hide leaves the two.
"Wait..." As the old man tries to stop Hide but was too late to stop him. Since Hide was lost in the crowd.
"Uncle, who was that?" As the young girl was confused.
"Priscilla it's him. The son of the previous master that I used to watched and served. We need to find him and take him back to the mansion." As the old butler was urgent.
"How can you be so sure? Didn't you said that he died back there when the explosion happen." As Priscilla was confused.
"I thought so too. But I was wrong. But now is not the time to talk. We need to find him before he's gone."
The old butler starts to join the crowd in search of Hide. Priscilla sighs and follows his uncle in search of Hide.
Hide made it to a quieter district and seems to be standing next to a water fountain.
"This place is bigger than I thought, but this area here sure is quiet. It seems that I must have made it to where the nobles live."
He sighs.
He sees a figure running up to him in the distance.
"Excuse me young lord, but can you give me a second to explain." As the old butler seems to be quite exhausted.
No response from Hide as he was somewhat surprised to be stopped.
The young girl makes it up to Hide and her uncle.
The old butler regain his breath and looks at Hide. Tears falls from his face.
"Young lord, for many years have I been looking for you. After all these years, you shown up. It's me, Jisan. The main butler of the Nubotomi's."
Suddenly flash of memories crashes Hide's mind.
An old memory appears.
Hide recalls, a younger version of himself playing in the yard. While an old butler seems to be watching him and somewhat smiling.
The memory ends there.
Hide gets back to himself.
"Young Lord, are you okay?" As Jisan looks at Hide.
"I'm fine. It's just that I thought you were dead when the house was destroyed and burned down." As Hide somewhat seems sad when he brought it up.
"Your highness, I was sent on a trip. When I got back, I saw the house all burned to ground. If only I was there, I could have..." As Jisan forms a fist.
"What of my mother and father?"
"Buried. Despite it being a struggle to gather them. I managed to do what I could and gave them a proper burial."
"I see. How did you know that it was me?"
"I could never forget you when I met you back at that island. Along with that, your looks of when you were younger still remains."
No response from Hide.
"Your Highness, how about we head home? I'm sure I can explain more when we get to the manor. Wouldn't want to say too much out here?"
"Oh and this is Priscilla, my niece."
Priscilla somewhat smiles at him.
The three made it to a manor of some sort. It seems to be quite big despite not knowing how Jisan managed to even get the manor.
The manor was big. There seems to be no one living there beside Jisan, Priscilla, and some maids and butlers. But there weren't so many of them.
Hide seems to be sitting in a room looking at ground while Jisan seems to be standing at the door.
"I know that you have a lot on your mind, but this manor was bought a long time ago by your parents. I managed to have it under my care until you return. Despite this not being the home that you were in when you were young. At least it can provide you warmth and a place to call home."
"Although, I'm sure you would like to go back to see it. Well, not much has changed other than fauna taking over it. I thought of rebuilding it up but was worried that your parents attacker might come back again."
"If you do plan on visiting it. It's in Lissandra, your parent's grave should be next to it."
"Jisan, what happened after my parents died and I was somewhat dead among them?"
"Well, after the death of the Nubotomi. The Fiends have no more king or royalty to follow thus war occurred in the Fiend world. More to say that a Fiend took over your place and became King. I will say that the Fiend and Humans are constantly at war with each other."
"I see. Wouldn't it be better if you just don't follow me and called me, his highness."
"I could never betray the royal bloodline as you are it's last king. The heir of the royal blood. I was a general under your mother rule. The ones that you see here in this manor are the one who are still loyal to you and never betray the royal blood."
"Jisan thank you, that's all for today."
"Very well, your highness. Have a good rest. We will continue more after you have awoken."
Jisan leaves the room and turns off the light. Hide lies on the bed staring at the roof and was taking all the information.
Jisan makes it down the hallway and sees Priscilla up ahead.
"Uncle, what makes sure that he's our master?" Besides he doesn't even look like a fiend like you and me."
Jisan lightly hits Priscilla in the head.
"You dummy, don't you know that her majesty married a human. That's why he's half-human and half-fiend. A child between both worlds. He may not look like a fiend but he is last of the royal bloodline and we will serve him to the end."
"Okay uncle." As Priscilla somewhat touches her head and watches Jisan heading downstairs.
Meanwhile Hide slept on his bed trying to put everything together and what he learn of today.
What more will he learn of his past and the present?
