Yeah! Here's the new chapter!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After making his benevolent and spectacular proposal to me, Barty Junior stared at me intently, his hand still outstretched as he calmly awaited my response.
And I, who had my suspicions about his proposal confirmed, just remained silent, returning his gaze without any kind of change in my expression.
This awkward, tense silence between us lasted for a few more seconds, with Barty Junior starting to feel uncomfortable, slowly losing his previous confidence.
But that didn't last much longer, as I finally decided to speak up.
"Now I see..." was the first thing I said, muttering under my breath as I looked at the ground.
And hearing this, Barty Junior's feelings of discomfort disappeared, being replaced by relief.
And then a satisfied and smug glint shone in his eyes, with the sadistic Death Eater thinking he had managed to convince me and that I had accepted his proposal.
With a nod to himself, he then prepared to launch into another of his crazy supremacist speeches, wanting to make it clear to me how incredible his master's cause was that I had 'joined'.
But before he could even open his mouth, a terrifying and suffocating pressure suddenly fell upon this entire part of the maze.
And that pressure was focused and concentrated mainly on Barty Junior, freezing him in his place.
He felt a tightness in his chest, and his body struggled to stay upright, as if the entire sky was falling on him.
And very slowly, almost robotically, Barty Junior looked towards the source of this pressure, seeing that it was coming from the only other human in this area besides him.
And I, who had my head down, adjusted my posture, standing firm and straight, before raising my head to look at the despicable death eater in front of me.
"Now I see that I no longer have any reason to hold back against a maniac, psychopath and deluded person like you," I said, a cold glint in my amber eyes that shone fiercely in the dense night of the maze.
And feeling an overwhelming sense of danger and death coming from me, Barty Junior couldn't help but shiver, feeling cold sweat run down his back.
'Monster...' that was the only thing that crossed the mind of the fanatical follower of the Dark Lord, 'He is definitely a monster!'
I didn't know what Barty Junior was thinking, but I could feel his fear and growing panic.
And feeling this I couldn't help but feel a cruel satisfaction take over me, which made me let more of my magic leak from my body, overflowing and filling this entire area and increasing the pressure on Barty Junior even more.
'It's time to end this!' I thought, the pupils of my eyes changing and becoming slit-shaped like a beast.
Without noticing these changes in me, I pointed my wand again at the dark wizard in front of me, which brought him out of his stupor.
But even after coming out of his dazed and scared state he was still having trouble moving, not that it made any difference to me.
And then, without further ado, I attacked him.
Swinging my wand I created whips of acid that shot towards Barty Junior.
Seeing the corrosive and obviously dangerous attack almost reaching him, he gathered all his remaining strength to finally manage to move, quickly jumping to the side.
But before he could steady himself or counterattack, another spell was already in front of him.
Barty Junior then tried to raise his wand to defend himself, but he was too slow and an invisible blow hit his chest, launching him backwards like a cannonball.
He rolled across the ground, before crashing into one of the walls of the maze, causing dry leaves and dust to scatter into the air.
"Get up" I ordered, my emotionless voice reverberating like muffled thunder, and I could feel the echo of my own magic vibrating in the maze, distorting the air around me.
Hearing my command the dark wizard gasped, looking at me with wide eyes in fear.
And even though he was scared, he still tried to get up, his wooden leg creaking as he struggled to stand.
But I wouldn't give him time for that, and not caring that he was still getting up I attacked him again.
"{Morterium}" I said, swinging my wand in an arc.
With that, a beam of grey light cut through the space between us, causing destruction wherever it passed.
In a panic, Barty Junior raised his wand at the last moment, conjuring a shield, but the force of my spell's impact sent him sliding back a few steps.
"Come on Barty, where's all that arrogance and superiority? Where's the power of a pureblood wizard?" I looked at him coldly, contempt in my tone.
And I noticed but decided to ignore my voice, which was sounding different, deeper, loaded with something primal.
I could feel my magic expanding further, taking the form of something almost tangible, a dark, wild presence that made the very shadows of the maze stir as if they had life.
"Ugh" hearing my mockery Barty became irritated, which fueled his strength.
Gritting his teeth he roared, concentrating his magic and pointing his wand forward. And a jet of green flames came straight at me.
"Heh," I snorted, and with a single movement of my hand, I stopped the fire in midair.
The emerald flames swirled around me without burning me, dancing like obedient serpents before I snapped my fingers, dispelling them.
With this demonstration of my control and sovereignty over his own spell, the fear on Barty Junior's face turned into pure despair.
'No... It can't end like this!' he shook his head.
And not wanting to give up, he pointed his wand at the ground, with the tip of it glowing a dark yellow tone.
He then muttered something frantic, and at the same moment the ground beneath me cracked.
From the ground, skeletal, translucent hands emerged, pale, deformed specters rose in a chorus of wails, trying to grab me.
'Despicable' my sharp pupil flashed, and with a simple gesture of my wand, a blast of pure magic swept through the specters like wind dispelling mist.
This little display of light necromancy from Barty surprised me a bit, but I didn't let it linger in my mind for long.
When I dispelled his last spell as if it was nothing, the despair and fear on Barty Junior's expression became more pronounced and stronger.
And I could feel his confidence and will to fight being slowly destroyed, and feeling this I decided that it was no longer worth wasting my time tormenting and humiliating him.
'Time to end this fight once and for all' I thought.
Then I closed my free hand, and the pressure my magic was creating in the maze increased immensely, suffocating the Death Eater.
He felt as if the gravity around him was 10 times stronger, and unable to resist this time his legs gave way, causing him to fall to his knees on the ground.
'Urgh, damn it!' he cursed, having to support himself with his shaking arms to keep from falling face first onto the ground.
The crushing weight he felt bearing down on him came not just from the magic I projected, but also from the growing fear in his heart and mind.
And for the first time since the fight began, the Dark Lord's loyal follower realized that he wasn't just facing a talented student... Actually, he didn't even have words to describe the one standing in front of him.
'Pathetic little man' my slitted pupils glowed in the darkness of the maze, my magic burning around me like a living aura.
And then, without further delay, I raised my wand for the last time, and the very atmosphere seemed to roar in response to it.
Staring at the cruel criminal on his knees I felt something primal stir within me, and focusing on that feeling I began to condense my magic into the tip of my wand.
Feeling the pressure of my next spell the maze shook and cried, as if a catastrophic storm was about to erupt.
This spell I was about to cast didn't just consist of magic and raw power. In fact, what truly made it so potent and dangerous was the raw, deep, animalistic feelings of savagery and violence that were put into it.
And before long a dense orb of raw purple energy formed at the tip of my wand.
And then, with a rough gesture I fired this wave of concentrated and powerful magic at the dark wizard, and wherever this purple energy spell passed the ground shattered.
My powerful spell then rapidly advanced towards Barty Junior, distorting the air itself and echoing out a rumbling sound.
And in the Death Eater's frightened eyes the only thing that could be seen was the reflection of this powerful and deadly attack.
Then, with one last desperate wail, my spell hit Barty Junior, and as it did so a purple and blue flash completely illuminated this area of the maze.
End.
