Silence fell into the room for a moment after Drake confirmed the truth about Amaterasu.
"Well, damn… So your past self… your previous life…" Drake muttered. "It became that?"
"When she died, yeah," Yuki said. "From what I can tell, her death was not peaceful, the resentment, grief, and all other things turned her corpse into that… A Goddess of Decay who constantly creates those Yokai, and the origin of the Curse."
"So that's how it is…" Drake said. "Tell me Yuki, what do you want to do with her?"
"I… Despite how scary she was, there was something about her that made me really sad," Yuki confessed. "I don't want to destroy her or anything of the sort…"
"What? Then what do we do with her? She's dangerous, and they're constantly going to keep using her to-"
"Yeah, that's why… I want to save her," Yuki said. "Rotten or not, soulless or not, that's… a part of me. I cannot just kill her… I cannot abandon her; it just feels wrong to me."
