Whisker was lost in thought during his cultivation session, easily forgetting just how long a time had passed. He did nothing except circulate the Qi inside of his own body the entire time, which worked enough to be cultivating.
He had sensed himself drawing some of the Elixir, or whatever the smell was, during the start. But it had been such a small amount that he had been forced to wait around until a lot more was gathered before his body began absorbing it.
Whisker only came out from his trance when the other beasts in the surrounding stirred and began making their way back onto the surface. He hadn't even realized how quickly the sun had set once again.
Whisker quickly stopped and swam his way to a beast before grabbing onto it to ride his way up. Once outside, he quickly went to a secure spot in a rocky region of the desert where he stayed and began going through his body to see if he could sense any changes.
