Shara's entire body froze the moment she was touched and she was unable to move. Through the side of her eyes, she could see something move toward her.
At the last moment, she used her power, turning intangible.
The thing passed through her, the person carrying it stumbling forward as they hadn't expected to have their attacks not land at all.
Oleander caught himself before falling and turned around, swinging his red mace at Shara once again, only to have his mace pass through her as if she wasn't there at all.
He stepped back, confused.
Shara was confused as well. How had she been frozen? It had been done with a touch, but how had the power worked on her? She was a Reaper. No power should work on a Reaper.
'What about other Reapers?' Shara thought. This was the first time she had even seen another Reaper use their power, let alone fight them. She didn't know how Reapers' powers worked on other Reapers.
Could it not be automatically blocked like all the other powers?
