A hollow composite metal pipe stood by the roadside, and through the reinforced glass, one could vaguely see the complex and precise electronic circuit boards embedded inside, along with some sort of beam emission device.
The buzzing sound continued incessantly.
The metal pipe projected a holographic indicator frame, marked with three place names and directions. The largest font in the middle was golden yellow, for "Alley Cat Street".
Pedestrians were constantly moving along the street, looking down at the personal terminals on their arms, either laughing at short videos on the holographic screen or browsing the game forum of "Era of Mystery".
At the corner of the street, inside a bar named "Mechanical Bride".
The ears were filled with noisy but rhythmic dynamic electronic music, and some young people dressed in flamboyant, even over-modified, outfits were swinging wildly on the dance floor.
