Narrator's View: Tee's Disappearance and Rebecca's Concern
"Where's the dress? I need the dress now!" Mee demanded, as the photoshoot was set to begin in 15 minutes.
"We can't find Tee anywhere, Madam Mee," one of the staff members responded, looking worried.
"What do you mean you can't find it?" asked Mee, feeling her frustration rise. "We need to find it quickly or we'll have to reschedule the entire shoot," she added, scanning the room for any sign of the missing dress.
"And that dress is so expensive, why would they choose to misplace it?" Mee muttered under her breath, feeling the pressure of the impending deadline. "We need to act fast and search every corner until we find it," she declared, determined to salvage the photoshoot.
"Mee, I am really sorry. I didn't mean for this to happen. We were in the dressing room when Tee accidentally spilled coffee on it," one of the assistants confessed, looking guilty. Mee took a deep breath, trying to remain calm as she formulated a plan to address the situation. She quickly assigned tasks to the team, determined to find a solution and ensure the photoshoot went on as planned.
"Rebecca." When Mee called Becca's name in full, she knew they were in trouble. "Madam Mee, what's up?" asked Becca, looking at the mirror in her bathrobe. Mee had just finished Becca's makeup a while ago.
"What do you mean, what's up? Do you know about it?" Mee asked seriously.
Becca's eyes narrowed, not understanding. "What should I know about, Madam Mee?" she asked, confused.
"Tee spilled coffee on the dress you were supposed to wear for the photoshoot. The staff told us Tee offered to clean it, but we can't find that brat anywhere in this mansion." Becca's heart sank as she realized the magnitude of the situation.
"What if something had happened to her?" Becca said worriedly, not thinking about the dress.
"Are you serious right now, Becca? That dress is Dolce & Gabbana, which is worth thousands of dollars. You just signed a contract with them, and I'm afraid it would be a huge problem if it's ruined." Becca's mind raced with thoughts of the potential consequences, not worrying about the dress and her endorsement contract with Dolce & Gabbana.
But thinking about Tee's whereabouts, the killer hadn't been found yet, and Becca feared for her friend's safety. She knew she had to act fast to find Tee before it was too late.
So she got off her seat and rushed out of the dressing room. "Becca, wait, where are you going? Stay here, your makeup will be ruined!" Mee called out after her, but Becca was already out the door. She had to find Tee and make sure she was safe before it was too late.
"Oh my god, these kids will kill me," Mee muttered to herself as she quickly followed Becca out of the dressing room. The urgency of Becca's actions made Mee realize the seriousness of the situation.
Tee's Pov: A Disorienting Awakening
Upon awakening, I sighed with fatigue. My head was spinning. I felt as though I'd been on a really lengthy journey and was experiencing jet lag.
I repeatedly blinked to correct my vision. But whatever I did, I was really in a room that looked very expensive. This looked so royal. When did you get here? I remember being so drunk with the gang last night, but I remember us going out of the bar. I must have blacked out and ended up here. My heart started to race as I tried to piece together what happened after leaving the bar with my friends.
Did they just leave me alone or let me go on my own? What useless friends! What if the killer caught me?
I must have been so drunk last night that I had a very terrible nightmare.
I still clearly remember the contents of my nightmare last night. How the ancients severely punished that poor woman. "Mmmppp" I tried to get out of his grip as he dragged me away from a scene that I had just witnessed.
Oh my god! Is one of these weird people catching me? Are they going to kill me now? Noooo, I don't want to die yet. I want to go home now.
"Shhh," said the person covering my mouth.
And I obliged. When I heard voices coming our way, it was the cruel people who were torturing the poor woman earlier. I was shaking with fear, wondering what they would do to me if they found me.
I was about to face the man who hid me from those men, but when I did, he pressed his finger near my neck, and everything went black.
"It's good and you're awake, have breakfast first." Said the man who had just entered this room. I didn't bother to look at him because I was very hungry and the smell of the soup he brought was very fragrant.
"Thank you for the food; you can go now," I said when I noticed he was still standing here watching me eat.
"No. I am sorry to break this to you, but I need to talk to you. After you eat, I will wait here till you are done." Hmm... I think I knew this already. He must be a relative or a father of whomever girl I'd screwed last night. He might think I'm a man again and wanted me to take responsibility for whatever I did to the woman last night.
"I am sorry to beg this of you too, but I am not taking any responsibility. And don't worry, I can't possibly impregnate your daughter or whomever this woman is now," I said, not looking at whoever this guy was.
"I understand your concern, but I assure you there is no need to worry about that matter; this is more serious. I will speak with you after you finish eating," I replied calmly, trying to diffuse the tension in the air.
"What do you—?" This time I looked up to see his face, curious about what he said, but I was shocked when I saw who the man was. "Mr. Cutie?" He is the cute writer of the film we're shooting.
"Mr. Lee," He corrected me.
"What's happening? What did I do wrong?" I asked, confused. "Wait, something happened to us last night?" The thought just made me feel sick, yuck. I can't imagine I betrayed myself while being drunk, huhuhuhu.
"Any of this is not the case, woman," He said with a reassuring smile.
Huh? I stopped myself from overreacting.
"Ha? What is it, then?" I asked, confused.
"What year is it?" He asked randomly.
"2023?" I answered. What's up with this guy?
"The way you called me earlier, is that my name?"Now this is creepy and a bit funny."Hahahaha... Okay, okay. I knew this. Is this a prank? I caught you! Hahaha, get out now, all of you!" I shouted, laughing, but he just fell silent and looked at me seriously. And no one got out. What is this?
"What is this shit? Tell me, hahah." I asked, still not giving in to whatever this was.
"No one is coming out, we are the only people inside this room," He said with a straight face.
"I am right then, you are not from this timeline." What he said caught my attention.
"What do you mean?" He just looked at me and sighed.
"I was brought here when I was in junior high school, and until now, I don't know if I can still get out of here. I was also having confusion when I first arrived in this place. I cried for days, thinking I was dreaming or hallucinating. But as time passed, I realized this was my reality now," He said, looking outside the window, as if reminiscing about his past. "I've tried everything to escape, but nothing seems to work," he continued. "Maybe you can help me figure out a way."
"Are you kidding me? That is a good script. Is that part of our film, Mr. Cutie?" I asked, trying to light up the atmosphere.
"You still don't get it, do you?" He said with sadness in his face. I looked at him closely, noticing the desperation in his eyes. "This is not a movie set; this is real life," he whispered.
"Come here if you don't want to believe me," He said, gesturing towards the window in the corner of the room. I hesitated for a moment before deciding to follow him, intrigued by what I might find on the other side.
And when I looked outside the window, my jaw dropped in shock as I saw what was outside. I saw people wearing ancient clothes; the carriages and the guards all seemed to be from a different time period. It was as if we had been transported back in time, and I couldn't believe my eyes.
"Where are we?" I asked in disbelief, feeling a mix of confusion and fear at the unexpected sight before me. The man beside me simply smiled knowingly, as if he had been expecting my reaction all along.
"Welcome to Bangkok. Well, it's called Krung Thep now," he said, as I tried to wrap my head around the surreal experience of being in a place that felt like a whole other world. The sights and sounds of this ancient city were unlike anything I had ever seen before.
What is happening? It was like I was inside a movie right now. I slowly stepped back. And I ran towards the door and ran as fast as I could, and all that I could see was the same old and ancient things: people, loud trading, chickens, pigs, horses, and bustling markets. It was a sensory overload that left me feeling both exhilarated and overwhelmed.
"Where am I?" I shouted, and everyone around the busy street of old Bangkok or Krung Thep, as Mr. Cutie said or Mr. Lee said, whatever it is, I felt disoriented and lost in this unfamiliar place. The sights, sounds, and smells were unlike anything I had ever experienced before.
"Get me out of here please!!" I shouted. I could hear the directors will say cut for now.
And again, everything went black.
