Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The 9th angel's arrival.

After hearing the young's lad unwavering opinion, Elyraeth was left both helpless and slightly amused.

"You do deserve to know the truth, but even we do not know the full story,"We've been waiting for her to finish the draft…"" he said calmly.

But all he received was a glance from the young lad that literally spelt 'confusion and I don't believe you'.

He looked at velmora for assistance only to be meet with a mirror of his helplessness.

Before he could think of other ways to continue, he sensed a change.....

A change only she is capable of

The space didn't echo, yet every movement felt loud — intentional.

Elyraeth looked at Lucien softly and said

"You wanted answers right, you might actually get them.....

"If she is in a good mood.. " Elyraeth muttered.

It wasn't only elyraeth who felt the change, so did everyone one else.

Lucien Thorneveil was no different., the stiffness of the wind ,the tension it carried, even the air felt heavy .

Then he saw it, Beauty" felt too fragile a word for what stood before him. She emerged like a dusk-hued eclipse, cloaked not in light, but in narrative gravity — as though the world had paused to let her enter her next scene. Her caramel skin shimmered with undertones of gold and ember, like ink settling on parchment under dying sunlight.

Each movement was more than elegant — it was purposeful, as if preordained. Like she wasn't reacting to the moment but following lines already written.

Her eyes held the weight of unwritten stories. Deep, knowing, endless. When she looked at you, it felt like your life was being edited mid-sentence.

Even her hair — waves of obsidian silk — didn't just fall naturally; it tumbled like a narrative still unfolding, tangled in secrets and dripping with unwelcome truths.

Clothed in fabric woven from whispers and shadowlight, she bore no crown, but the air bent in reverence anyway — like it remembered who wrote its rules.

Her voice? Gentle thunder. But it didn't just speak. It declared. It commanded as if punctuation had weight, and her pause alone could end a chapter.

There was something cruel in her smile, yes — but not just playfully so. It was the smile of someone who had read the ending, then decided to let the characters suffer anyway.

She walked barefooted, but even that felt elegant, she made her way towards him, even though she was a head shorter than him, he has never felt so small, then came her mellifluous voice that was needed meek nor overbearing

"Lucien Thorneveil, it an honor to meet me, you may have the privilege of addressing me as The 9th angel "

She spoke with calm pride, as though the universe had simply aligned to accommodate her presence.

A strained smile flickered across Elyraeth's face. The slight twitch in his brow resurfaced again.

Lucien: "…"

This introduction feels… familiar.

He stared at the stunning, impossibly prideful young woman before him and was momentarily in awe but immediately recovered .

He sighed softly and said calmly

"you're definitely the most scintillating and glorious being that I have ever and will probably see in my whole life, but being pretty doesn't cut it love, I still need answers"

If she was surprised at his response, she didn't show it, instead she looked at the council members, elyraeth in particular,

"Stardust, if you would be so kind" she says softly, cause that wasn't a request, it was an order dressed like one.

He happened to catch the helpless that flashed in elyraeth eyes and the mention of the nickname

Lucien: Stardust?

he raised his eyebrows, maybe she is a great mind as well.

They were no longer in the council hall, but in a room that was more intimate, subtle—yet undeniably hers. Milk-white walls encased a lavish 700 m² space. A king-sized bed lay in the center; a brown desk overflowed with papers beside a vintage 25th‑generation computer. Motivational posters—her own words—lined the walls:she literally posted her own words as motivation for herself,

narcissism masquerading as inspiration.

There was even a picture of her younger with elyraeth in on the shelf of drafts and drabs, they seem to be close, I was kind of curious to know about that story.

After he was done with his survey, he turned around only to be met with two pair of eyes looking at his, one with interest, the other casual amusement.

The self-proclaimed 9th angel was on the massive white bed sitting in lotus position looking at me quietly while stardust was was at the desk looking at a particular script while glancing at me with interest .

Then she spoke with a calm smile

"Let me introduce myself again, I'm the author of your world, the 9th angel, nice to meet you Lucien, I need your help".

Lucien's heartbeat thundered. This was no ordinary request, and she was no ordinary being but he will not be intimidated by this so called "quill" .

But she continued, "I am going to tell you everything that you need"as she was talking she walked towards the shelf barefooted and brought out a book and passed it to me, "you see my words turn to worlds, but the main protagonist of your world has gone rogue " she continued.

I looked at the books heading only to see, a very overbearing title

I ALONE AM THE SOVEREIGN"

I couldn't help but cringe

The 9th angel who book was cringed upon,".."

Elyraeth: the apple doesn't fall to far from the tree, I guess

Cringe all you want," she replied airily, "It still outsold prophecy, as I was saying, the protagonist has gone rogue, he was shown a dream of the future, so he got arrogant and is destroying the plane ".

Immediately I heard shown a dream, my gaze unconsciously went to elyraeth and I looked at him in contempt.

Elyraeth immediately noticed and had an expression of crying and laughing.

"So stardust made a mistake, honestly I don't see how this concern me". I said distracted by the content of the book, this is literally my world, I was currently reading everything about my world.

Freaked out,

Get in line.

Quill continued", I asked him to show the stormblade kid the dream", I paused and glanced up to look at her and asked

"Why"

She looked up at him mischief, " what?, you don't think it was an honest mistake".

I looked at her and said quite candidly

" I don't think you're stupid enough to do that, so you have to have a reason"

Elyraeth the one who is stupid enough to make the mistake:"..."
