Was it worth it? These powers we got. Vampires was what mother called it. Apparently we are not the only ones like us, just that we are the first made from magic. Making us the Originals. That's what we call our selves now.
But was it worth it?
Was this the price mother talked about?
I thought we had paid the price with our humans nature and our weakness to the sun. But our family. What made me even think of going forward, was broken. Mother paid the price with her life. Father, he became a monster.
Hee... Who am I kidding, we all became monsters, as for Father? Maybe he is using it to justify his anger.
Ansel was a bastard, that's for sure, he is the reason for all this and I swear, the werewolves will pay...this debt will never be forgotten.
I promise that what's left of this family, I will protect. That I swear.
For some months now we have been traveling none stop, boons of being a supernatural. We became stronger and faster....and more hungry for blood, even though we could take other things to eat, blood was just much more tasteful, desirable, flavorful, savory...the way it hits our tongues, flowing like a sweet nectar from the luscious veins of our vict....sighs.....it has become a part of our life anyways.
On our way, we met a group of bandits. Thinking they had hit a jackpot since we had baggages with us as we traveled. Each of us carried the needful, something we could run with, but to these bandits, they were treasures. Already in a bad mood and not giving them time to talk about it, I dropped my bags and ran to the nearest with my enhanced speed, shocking my siblings and the bandits, I bit down on his neck and began draining him.
Lost in shock, even with the screams of their fellow, they stood still to see what I was doing. Finally the scream ended and their friend dropped dead, raising my head with my mouth still stained with my victims blood and eyes changed in our vampiric form, the whites blood red with veins bulging out..
"BASTARD!!!"
One of them had come to and was rushing towards me. Like I said I was not giving in this time for nonsense.
I rushed towards him, even with his fervent stabs in my abdomen, I was not giving in, not today. I continued to drain him and when I noticed the others began to react and rush, I stretched forth my left hand towards one of them holding him still with my psychic powers...hmm...good to know I got this from my witch self.
My siblings realizing they couldn't stand still, rushed in, thinking the bandits would overwhelm me . Left for me I could have handled them myself, true even at my peak, dealing with twenty plus bandits, would be difficult but still nothing my tribid self could not handle.
Yes, before our family broke, I talked with mother about my new powers, how I was both a witch, a vampire and a phantom. She told me, it was the first she had heard of supernaturals with more than two species mixed breed, but for two species mixed breed they were known as hybrids. As for me I could be the first original tribrid.
Back to present, after the little chaos caused by us, the small clearing in the forest was filled with dead bodies. My siblings kept staring at me, and I could see the smirk on Klaus' face, seems like he is the only one who felt impressed.
"What?"
"You killed them" Elijah complained. For a while I looked towards him because he too was stained with blood.
"We killed them, Elijah"
"Yes, but we wouldn't have if you had not attacked.."
"Bloody hel, Elijah they were bandits, what did you think they were going to do? Show us love and warm beds to lie on"
"No but..."
"Enough, you two. Henrik, he is right, at best we could have knocked them out...maybe...but Elijah, Rik is right, they wouldn't have wanted anything more than to kill us and take our belongings and if we were humans...." Finn explained not finishing his last statement as he looked towards Rebekah, who still in daze at what she had done. He must not have completed his statement but we understood what he meant and like hell any of us would have let that happen.
Kol, still had his bloodlust leaking from him, it appears he enjoyed the hunt. Rebekah, oh I wish it wasn't like this...
"Alright, let's keep moving, father is still on our tail and from this, he would track us, we need to change our direction as well"
"I'm do not yet understand my powers, our clothes I could burn with little fire but the bodies, not yet I might engulf the whole forest for lack of control in flames. Not worth the risk" I explained to them.
We agree to changed. Finn, Elijah, Klaus, kol and I changed first and when we were done, we gave Rebekah some privacy as well as monitored the area.
While waiting, the rest still made little glances at me, kol as wild as he always his broke the silence.
"Well, you have grown much these days. You feel more mature, young as usual but much more mature. Feels like I'm talking to an old man even when looking at your eyes" I couldn't blame them, I can't hide what I experienced in purgatory for long but I wasn't going to talk about it yet
"Aye, do not be surprised, though to you it felt like 14 days I was asleep. But to me, it felt like a century had passed." I stopped there and they seemed to understand that I didn't want to talk about it. I appreciate their concern as I feel it, Rebekah had appeared when I started talking and looking at her eyes which were almost wet, I could see she felt pained for me. In my life, I was closest to Rebekah and during those times we had created a bond between each other most times just a look from each other was enough to tell us what we felt. And I felt relieved, calm and clear headed once more just from looking at her and it seemed she understood that I would protect her always as she changed her posture into a confident one, no more regrets from her. Everyone of us felt the same.
Immediately, we continued our journey and it looks like we will be boarding a ship.

/Southern France/Early Spring/1002/
It had been half a year since we had been running from our father, at the least we have lost him. For now.
We had arrived in a foreign land, it felt totally different from our home. We continued our journey but realized we stood out too much. How do we hide when we were as bright as the sun in a night sky. We decided to find a way to blend more amongst this people...
And we did.
During our journey finding a way to blend, Elijah raised up an issue on rules to abide to in order for our father not to catch us. We agreed upon feeding discretely, covering our tracks as well as killing any witnesses. I for one, agreed to that idea but the problem still lied in our new lifestyles giving the fact the we were in a foreign land. As usual, Kol argued for us to split since father wouldn't have the time to catch all of us at once, he never liked being under any rules, he was always the attention seeker. I'm still surprised that Klaus was the one who was named the black sheep....well I'm not but still Kol was just... kol.
We continued this until we saw a carriage coming towards us. Sensing that they were up to six people on the carriage, Rebekah and I eyed each other and it seems we had the same idea. She spoke and told them the plan. We took action after, but unfortunately we couldn't kill the last one.
He was a servant of the nobles that we killed and he gave a good argument for why we couldn't kill him. We needed a guide, someone who would explain where we are, what to do, how to act, when to act, why we should do whatever we did and much more.
So we decided to spare him, sadly for me, I couldn't fit into the description of any of the dead nobles. I was planning on taking my own journey separate as it seems kols idea wasn't so bad but I was stopped by the servant saying I could also act as a servant for the nobles.
Rebekah bought into it as well as Finn making Elijah and Klaus to agree. Kol just wanted to take my place and flee.
Anyways, we changed into our roles and I sat down with the servant. And we continued our journey with the carriage this time. Once in a while, we made stops for the servant to teach us the etiquettes of a noble and the customs of this place. It was fascinating, never knew there would be life like this outside our village.
With our new found strength, we were able to comprehend as much as the servant could give us during our journey and we were now close to our destination.
