If it was something that helped her to save money, then she had to learn how to handle such things herself, even if they were things that seemed too difficult at first.
Small things were fixed up at first, while there were further renovations that were done later as she got more used to it.
It did take some time getting used to using certain tools and doing those types of things, but she soon got the hang of it a little at a time with every attempt that she made.
Sometimes the materials were not good enough, so it became a temporary measure after trying to fix some things, while other times the measurements were off, which resulted in there being parts that did not fit where they were supposed to go.
