{MC Pov}
"Well, I think it's best to get out of this cave as quickly as possible."
Finally deciding to take action, I glance at the Omnitrix and mentally command it to activate the holographic selection disk. Now, I have nine options and I choose the alien I want. The panel tilts, revealing the silhouette of my chosen new form. After hesitating for a moment, I gather my courage and slap the core with all my strength.
"HEATBLAST!!!"
I can't help but shout. Is it the adrenaline or the alien's personality affecting me? Either way, I grow nearly twice my size. My skin is replaced by a kind of red volcanic rock, with cracks revealing the internal plasma of my body. My hands and feet become solid plasma. I become bald, but the constant fire emanating from my head disguises it, giving me the appearance of a flaming skull.
Setting aside these musings, I start walking and, as if I've been doing it my whole life, concentrate fire in my hand, like a Kamehameha, and launch it with all my might, destroying the wall and turning any bats in the way, frozen or not, into ashes.
I look back and realize that the high temperature emitted by my body is causing the ice I didn't hit to thaw, forming a layer of vapor that spreads throughout the cave.
With Heatblast's work done, I mentally command myself to return to my original form. I select another form in the Omnitrix and leave the core ready to transform quickly. Advancing deeper, guided by the remnants of flames, I see smoke rising. I put my right hand on my nose and leave the other one ready to press the core.
The bats can do two things: flee this place because of the smoke and vapor that hinder their senses, or blindly advance to try to catch the "fool" who dared to cause trouble in their territory.
"Chirp! Chirp! Chirp! Chirp! Chirp!"
It seems they chose the second option, unlucky for them. Hearing their approach, I wait a little and when they are almost reaching me, I press the core.
The bat that was closest hears my transformation and lunges towards me. Unfortunately for him, as he lunges where I was, he ends up hitting his claws on the ground and hurting himself. Dazed, he starts flapping frantically, trying to hit me, but I am nowhere to be found.
Thinking that their companion has found something, the other bats focus on that location, crashing into each other in search of the invisible enemy. The bats continue their search, but without success.
Finally, the first bat that tried to find me behaves strangely, or rather I forced him to. I transform into 'Simbionty' and use him as a host, although it's still difficult to use this form even with the 'Instinctive Knowledge'.
In that moment when the bat, whom I'll call Bob to differentiate him, hit the ground, I merge with him and have been trying to gain control of his body ever since. Even though he is not a sentient being, it is still difficult to take control, but little by little, I am gaining control of his body.
Reading his brain's memories, I don't find much, basically just his routine. Wake up, hunt, and return to the nest, occasionally responding to emergency calls from his siblings. They define an emergency when they detect any living being larger or of the same size as them and not recognized as their species.
The nest seems to be the species' dwelling, where they are born, live, and die. Apparently, I am one or two miles away from the nest according to Bob's perception. He also has a sense of where not to go to avoid predators.
Finally getting used to it, I take full control of Bob's body, I cover him with my main body and strengthen him. He grows about one and a half feet, with a black coloration with green lines, his face changes and I form a pair of eyes to look around.
The others seem to find me strange, but I quickly emit a recognition sound and they ignore me and continue searching for the enemy. Without further delay, I start flying out of this place.
On the way, I see several of Bob's siblings heading towards my previous location. I start going in the opposite direction of the nest and they start to decrease in number. Going further, other species start to appear. I see 4-foot lizards chasing a species of giant slug that seems to multiply. Worms with fire-throwing eyes and other bizarre creatures.
I finally reach my destination, I finally see the way out of this place. A tunnel to the surface, about 5 miles long. When I reach the end, I can't help but be disappointed. I imagined a forest, but what I get is a dump.
"Who the hell dumped garbage everywhere?"
Ascending a bit more, I realize that it's much worse than I imagined. The mountains of trash seem to have no end, stretching to the horizon. The air is filthy, even with a red sun in the sky, it's still dark with a layer of smog covering everything.
This place is literally a pile of garbage, there is no sign of life. It looks like a mixture of nuclear waste, hospital waste, and a bunch of decaying spaceships. There are even the remains of a giant rusty robot buried among the piles, like a person swallowed by sand.
Unable to bear it any longer, I start flying, trying to find something other than garbage. But I realize that I probably won't have enough energy to reach another place. I desperately search for a place to rest and wait for the watch to recharge or activate the 'Form Lock' mode.
After walking a bit, I find a spaceship that, compared to the rest, looks relatively clean. I land on it and start cleaning it better. After waiting a while, I decide to return to my original form, but before that, I consume Bob from the inside out and revert the transformation.
As soon as I return to my human form, not even a second passes before I have to close my eyes and cover my nose to try to suppress the unbearable stench. My god, what torture. My eyes burn, and the stench doesn't diminish. I feel like I won't be able to endure much longer and will faint.
Looking at the Omnitrix, I choose to activate the "Form Lock" mode and select NRG without armor, transforming immediately.
"NRG!"
"HAHAHAAHAHAHAH"
"HHAHAHAHAHAHAH"
"WHAT AN EXCELLENT BARBECUE"
As if turning water into wine, I feel completely different now. What was once an unpleasant place now feels like a feast where I can fill my belly. I didn't realize before, but this place is emitting a lot of radioactivity. Instead of killing me, it only serves to satiate my hunger.
I start moving from one place to another, breaking some ships, grabbing parts of their engines, and consuming them. Just by being here, I passively absorb radiation.
Feeling my strength increase, I know it's not enough.
"More, I need MORE!"
As I delight in the radioactive energy this place offers, my appetite for more only grows. I feel empowered and invincible like NRG, with no need for armor to contain my energetic essence. Radiation is now my fuel, and I am determined to absorb all I can.
With swift and powerful movements, I race through piles of debris, disintegrating shipwrecks and absorbing the residual energy. Each intake makes me feel more powerful, and a maniacal laughter escapes my energized lips. It's an indescribable sensation to feed on something that was once a nuisance and turn it into my source of strength.
As I continue to devour the radiation, I begin to notice changes in my body. My appearance becomes even brighter and more intense, as if I were on fire. Energy rays emanate from me, illuminating the surroundings. I am a living entity of energy, power, and destruction.
Lost in my pursuit of energy, I fail to realize that the environment around me is changing. The once monotonous and lifeless wasteland starts to stir. Mounds of debris move, and I see strange creatures emerging from within them. They are mutated beings, affected by radiation. It seems they were created by this hostile environment and have become their own abominations.
Instead of feeling fear as they approach, I feel an indescribable excitement. They are like a buffet laid out before me, an opportunity to feed even more. A wicked smile forms on my energized face, and with a quick motion, I emit a concentrated beam of energy towards them.
The resulting explosion instantly disintegrates the mutants, turning them into radioactive ashes. I feel their energy merging with mine, exponentially increasing my power. Now I am in ecstasy, enveloped in an incandescent aura with capabilities beyond imagination.
However, even with all this power, I realize that there is still much more to be absorbed in this radiation wasteland. I traverse the heaps of debris in search of new energy sources to feed upon. I will continue to consume everything I find until there is nothing left but me and the radioactive energy that sustains me.
Here, in this radioactive hell, I have found my own paradise. And I will continue to laugh and feed voraciously until I completely satisfy my insatiable appetite for power.
I start flying at high speed, traversing this sea of trash and reaching a literal sea of green substance that resembles nuclear waste. I descend and consume this substance without pause.
"More! MORE!"
I continue in this frenzy, not knowing how much time has passed. When I regain my senses, I realize that I have returned to my human form.
"What the hell happened? The last thing I remember is energy, more energy."
I really need to control myself better. Getting addicted to absorbing energy can't be healthy. But how the hell did I end up here?
Looking around, I see a hole in the roof. As "NRG," I must have melted and entered this place. Did I black out? What the hell did I get so addicted to consuming energy that I forgot everything else?
Turning to the Omnitrix, I try to activate its functions. When I open the interface, the first thing I see is warnings.
[Warning: "Safety Lock" forcibly deactivated the "Form Lock" function, reverting "NRG" back to the original form] [Warning: Forced recharge mode initiated, estimated duration 89 hours]
How long was I transformed? 89 hours of recharge is a lot.
[Prypiatosian Bs (NRG)] > [Prypiatosian Bs (NRG)] Blocked
It's better to block this form for now. I have to be more careful. Could it be an effect of "Instinctive Knowledge"? Yes, I need more experience before risking getting addicted to a transformation.
Now, what do I do? It's best to explore this place and hope there's nothing dangerous.
{Author's Note: Why did the MC become addicted to energy? Four reasons:
- First transformation
- Lack of experience
- Instinctive knowledge
- The place being a feast for anyone of NRG's race
Why did he start walking again after waking up? After becoming addicted, he entered a frenzy to absorb energy. The Omnitrix disabled the transformation and brought him back to normal, causing him to pass out and wake up at that moment. He was full of energy from consuming so much as NRG, so he won't get hungry anytime soon.}
