A scene Muria had seen before appeared again above Synapse. Two enormous sky cities entered the world, their immense mass and rapid descent causing intense friction with the atmosphere, resulting in massive flames on their surfaces. They looked like two suns falling from the sky.
This scene occurred under the night sky, with stars and the moon in the background, making it even more visually striking than the last time when Mikaela's sky city descended. The light from these two suns illuminated the dark, icy land below.
However, this time, unlike the last, it happened above Synapse. With prior notice and psychological preparation, and having witnessed it once before, Synapse did not fall into chaos. Instead, many dragons and giants were admiring this rare spectacle.
"Why are there two cloud cities?" Muria asked, looking at the sky as bright as day, with a hint of surprise in his eyes.
"I had Feyette bring down my cloud city as well," Ilvester, standing beside Muria, replied.
"Are you really planning to settle here?" Muria's expression turned sour. It was one thing for Ilvester to come down himself, but bringing his wife and their home too? This clearly indicated he had no intention of leaving, which was too much.
No, this won't do. I need to think of a way! If this continues, I won't be able to spend any quality time with Mikaela. Muria's eyes gleamed as he quickly came up with an idea.
With a plan in mind, Muria looked at Ilvester's side profile and couldn't help but smile, which sent a shiver down Ilvester's spine, causing him to frown deeply. "Why are you smiling?"
"I just thought of something interesting," Muria said nonchalantly, looking up at the two descending cloud cities. "So I couldn't help but smile. What, I can't even smile now?"
"I feel like you're up to no good," Ilvester said, frowning. He trusted his instincts because, at his level, they were seldom wrong.
"Your feeling is wrong," Muria said nonchalantly, dismissing his suspicion.
"I'll be keeping an eye on you," Ilvester said, turning to look at the now-hovering cloud cities.
"Suit yourself." Muria smiled. The plan he had just come up with was an open and legitimate one, not some sneaky scheme that would lose its effect if discovered.
"What are you planning?" Mikaela, standing beside Muria, suddenly asked. She, too, sensed Muria's bad intentions.
"Planning to stop your brother from interfering with us. I've had enough of him," Muria's soul voice echoed in Mikaela's mind. "He's been meddling one too many times. If he is unkind, I can't be blamed for being unjust."
"Keep it within limits."
"Understood." After replying to Mikaela, Muria suddenly remembered something. "You Celestial Descendants are creatures of the Boundless Heaven Realm, not native to this world. Because of Erathia's vast size, you can freely enter and exit. But given the specifications of your cloud city, it should be repelled, right? How can it freely come and go?"
"Who says so? Any foreign being with power exceeding that of a legend, whether entering Erathia or the Boundless Heaven Realm, will face repulsion."
"Then why?" Muria suddenly felt a bit lacking in knowledge. The Titan bloodline inheritance was all about combat knowledge and techniques, while the dragon heritage was extensive but shallow. The information the bloodline could carry was limited.
"Did you feel any suppression or repulsion when you entered the Boundless Heaven Realm? No, right? Even epic-level beings and dragon kings can freely enter and exit. The Boundless Heaven Realm and Erathia are like twin siblings," Mikaela explained in detail after posing some questions.
"I see!" Muria nodded, seeming to understand everything. But in reality, only he knew the extent of his understanding.
...
"Feyette!"
As the cloud city stabilized, Ilvester, who had been waiting in the air, couldn't wait to fly in. Inside the cloud city, angels knelt on one knee to greet him as he passed.
"Let's go, Mikaela. Our sister-in-law is here too. We should go greet her." Muria, with a playful smile, pulled Mikaela into the cloud city, which was a few sizes smaller than Mikaela's war machine.
"Wow, this is a cloud city? It's like a floating garden," Muria exclaimed upon entering the cloud city. "Our sister-in-law has quite the taste!"
The air was filled with a pleasant floral scent. Every breath brought a different fragrance. This was a city of flowers, a sea of flowers. Various flower fairies with different wings flew around the city. These tiny fairies, only the size of a palm, were elite beings born from powerful magical plants.
"Does this city still have any war functions?" Muria asked Mikaela in surprise. Most of the angels here were playing musical instruments, lost in their world, or chatting and drinking tea. Few held weapons.
The attitude of the subordinates reflected the preferences of their leader. Clearly, the laid-back nature of these angels was due to the cloud city owner's preferences.
"What do you think?"
"Probably not," Muria stroked his chin. In this pure white city, flowers of various bright colors were planted everywhere, vying for attention. It felt like being in a fairytale dream.
"But why would a perfectly good cloud city turn into this?" Muria was genuinely shocked. The cloud city was one of the Celestial Descendants' greatest creations, a fortress for external wars, now turned into a floating garden.
"My brother's fiancée, Feyette, hates war," Mikaela said expressionlessly. Muria didn't need to ask to know that someone who transformed their city into a flying garden clearly disliked fighting, and naturally wouldn't get along with Mikaela.
"Actually, there are more Celestial Descendants like her in our race, and those like me who love battle are the real anomalies," Mikaela's tone seemed devoid of emotion, yet hinted at some complex feelings.
"Before I was born, my brother was the same. He loved these meaningless plants and disliked fighting. Then, when he discovered my passion for battle and people began talking about me, he forced himself to like fighting to make me less conspicuous."
"You are not an anomaly. You are the unique Mikaela." Muria held Mikaela's hand. Although he knew her brother deeply cared for her, even twisting his nature for her, that didn't mean he could keep interfering in Mikaela's life.
"From today, you will no longer be alone, Mika!"
After these sweet words, Muria led Mikaela to the most luxurious and magnificent part of the cloud city. There, they saw a pair of eight-winged Celestial Descendants engaged in intimate conversation.
"Brother-in-law, is this the sister-in-law you've been pining for? She's truly beautiful, no wonder you think of her constantly." Muria shamelessly interrupted their moment, walking over to them and ignoring Ilvester's hostile glare. He extended his hand to Feyette.
"Hello, sister-in-law. I am Muria Iapetos Elonsas, Mikaela's fiancé!"
"I know, no need for introductions. You're quite famous among the Celestial Descendants. Who wouldn't know your name?" Feyette smiled gracefully, extending her hand to shake Muria's with poise and elegance. "My name is Feyette."
"Am I that famous?" Muria smiled modestly, appearing exceptionally humble.
"Of course," Feyette replied with a soft laugh.
"I think your cloud city is beautiful. It's the most beautiful place I've ever seen." Muria immediately changed the topic, showering the cloud city with praise. Mikaela couldn't help but glance sideways at him.
"Thank you!" Even a Celestial Descendant would be delighted to receive praise from a Titan. After all, true Titans couldn't comprehend or appreciate the Celestial Descendants' enjoyment-oriented behavior, let alone offer praise.
"Sister-in-law, may I visit here occasionally when I have time? I think this place is perfect for relaxing." Muria asked without hesitation.
"Of course, anytime you want." Feyette agreed without much thought. "But one thing, I have not officially confirmed my relationship with Ilvester yet, so you can call me by my name."
Hearing Muria's request and Feyette's acceptance made Ilvester's face darken. Now his face turned even darker as he realized Muria's true intentions.
"Then I hope you won't mind me visiting often, Feyette," Muria said with a wide smile, glancing at his brother-in-law, feeling even happier. Reciprocity is the key.
"Shouldn't you let go of her hand?" Ilvester stared at their clasped hands.
"Oh, sorry!" Muria released his grip, and Feyette also withdrew her hand.
"It's nothing." The female Celestial Descendant maintained a poised smile, having noticed the tension but showing no outward reaction.
"Muria, do you even appreciate this environment?" Ilvester asked with a hint of menace in his voice.
"Who says I can't?" Muria snorted. "I have half golden dragon blood. Besides, appreciating the scenery here has nothing to do with you. This isn't your cloud city. You don't have authority here!"
