Chapter 605 - Chapter 605: What If, I Mean Just What If, I Had Teammates? How Would You Deal with It?

Nyarlathotep, this Old God, descended upon the Great Ring multiverse.

Buzz buzz buzz!

A faint orange light glowed within its chest, resembling a pile of bones, while the tentacle at its head melded into the darkness, silently extending into countless worlds, making contact with innumerable beings to gather information about the Great Ring multiverse.

"The Dragon Pantheon, the Elven Pantheon, the Orc Pantheon, the Fey Pantheon, the Pantheon of Gods..."

"The Abyss, the Prime Material Plane, the Beastlands, Mount Celestia, Mechanus, the Nine Hells..."

"Devils, demons, humans, elemental beings, beast lords, gods..."

"Such a vast multiverse."

Nyarlathotep's mind fluctuated chaotically, silently whispering as it sensed and gathered basic intelligence about the Great Ring multiverse.

At the same time, a radiant figure shone in the minds of all living beings, entering the consciousness of this Old God.

It was a dragon.

All intelligent beings across numerous planar worlds knew of this dragon and believed it to be invincible, unmatched.

"The Eternal Dragon of Time, a great dragon that wields the power of time... the uncrowned king of this multiverse."

"The power of time... Yog-Sothoth would be more interested."

"Besides the Eternal Dragon of Time, are there any other powerful beings?"

Nyarlathotep sorted through the information it had gathered and continued to search for more. However, no matter how it expanded its perception, it could not find any being stronger than the Eternal Dragon of Time, or even on the same level.

"There is only one Eternal Dragon of Time. Judging by its legendary deeds, it seems quite powerful individually, but ultimately, it is just one—this multiverse does not pose a threat."

As it thought this over, Nyarlathotep suddenly paused, the light in its chest growing brighter—not dazzling, but a hazy, blurry light that caused headaches, mental confusion, and madness.

Whoosh!

The river of time rippled, and a majestic dragon silhouette gradually emerged, its wings covering the sky, scales shimmering brightly.

A spiritual wave transformed into a cold voice, entering Nyarlathotep's mind.

"God from the outer multiverse, now that you've come to the Great Ring multiverse, don't think about leaving."

As expected, it detected my arrival so quickly.

Nyarlathotep mused silently, its head and the circle of tentacles on its back swaying like writhing vipers.

It has detected my arrival, facing a very threatening Outer God, yet only one has come.

It seems there really aren't any more top-level beings in this multiverse.

The tentacle at Nyarlathotep's head split into a gruesome smile.

"Hello, you seem to have some hostility towards me."

"Don't misunderstand, I bear no malice towards your world. I've come to promote friendly exchange between our multiverses."

"My multiverse is dedicated to fostering the prosperity of infinite multiverses and eliminating barriers between them."

Appearance does not determine good or evil.

As Nyarlathotep emitted a wave of goodwill, it became extremely charming, instinctively making others want to believe its words, captivated by its allure, wanting to be close to it, even making its horrific form seem benevolent.

Garon's mind conjured up beautiful visions.

Different multiverses cooperating, growing together, assisting each other, forming an infinitely prosperous, unprecedentedly splendid infinite multiverse, where all beings find their ideal happiness, even the air is sweet...

With a thought, these images shattered.

Garon remained unmoved.

This Old God's personality was similar to that of a deceitful devil.

If Garon didn't know its background and didn't want to provoke a war between the multiverses, he might have tried to communicate patiently, fostering cooperation between the multiverses, believing some of its lies.

However.

Garon neither fell for its spiritual influence nor doubted its malicious intent.

After listening to Nyarlathotep's friendly words, the silver dragon chuckled and said, "If that's the case, don't resist. Let me seal you, and I'll secretly verify your claims in your multiverse."

"If your multiverse is indeed kind and peaceful, I'll apologize and promote cooperation between our multiverses afterward."

Hearing this, Nyarlathotep didn't get angry. Instead, it showed a thoughtful expression.

The tentacles at its head swayed left and right as if in deep thought.

"It's not impossible."

"I'm willing to use this method to ease your suspicions."

A few seconds later, Nyarlathotep said.

This should make him lower his guard a bit. When he comes to seal me, I'll strike first when he least expects it. Just a moment of hesitation, and I'll have my chance. Nyarlathotep thought.

Believing that the Great Ring multiverse had only one top powerhouse, it didn't rush to summon other Old Pillar Gods, wanting to toy with Garon for its amusement.

"It's impossible to surrender without resistance."

"Probably wants to make me let my guard down for a sneak attack."

Garon watched Nyarlathotep's performance silently, then played along, showing a surprised expression, "You really agree to be sealed by me? Are you sure?"

Nyarlathotep's tentacle at its head curled and extended like nodding, conveying a wave of goodwill, "Of course, I come from a kind world. I am an emissary of many kind gods. If you trust me, I can meet your demands."

Its response was sincere.

"I'm interested in your world."

The silver dragon smiled, spreading its wings, flying towards Nyarlathotep, "When I approach you, I'll temporarily seal you. I'll be careful not to harm you."

A dragon claw extended, swelling infinitely during the flight, seemingly about to grasp and suppress Nyarlathotep.

"It's coming."

Nyarlathotep watched the approaching silver dragon, noticing its relaxed demeanor, significantly less guarded, preparing to strike.

Before Garon could get close to Nyarlathotep.

Without warning, the river of time halted, freezing the space.

The time-stopping domain and the sluggish divine light both acted on Nyarlathotep simultaneously. The silver dragon opened its mouth, unleashing a crushing breath like a heavenly river waterfall towards Nyarlathotep.

Due to the time-stopping domain and sluggish divine light, Nyarlathotep felt like it was trapped in a quagmire, its movements becoming stiff and slow.

However, as one of the Old Three Pillar Gods, it wasn't an existence to be underestimated.

Even bearing the Great Ring multiverse's oppression, a top existence wasn't easily killed.

Buzz buzz buzz. Nyarlathotep's slender waist wavered, splitting into three, and then six, rapidly multiplying into thousands, its vast figures almost covering the Dead Mountain Range, shrouding the extinct volcanoes under its tentacle shadows.

Boom!

The dragon breath, unstoppable and destructive, pierced through dozens of Nyarlathotep's bodies, shredding them apart.

Simultaneously, the silver dragon turned its head, sweeping the breath sideways, crushing Nyarlathotep's figures one by one.

Recovering from the silver dragon's initial onslaught.

Nyarlathotep was furious.

Being deceived and fooled enraged this entity that delighted in deceiving other beings.

All its tentacles flailed wildly, and the mouth on its tentacle head stretched and expanded. Eventually, the entire head split into petals like a flower, lined with sharp teeth and a dark, chaotic interior.

"To think you deceived me, I'll imprison you in a cage of madness and chaos, tormenting you for eternity."

It said.

With its terrifying mouth split open, all Nyarlathotep's figures aimed at the silver dragon, emitting a soundless mental roar.

Boom!

Silently, the mountains collapsed, shattered into fine particles, and the vast mountain range crumbled in large swathes.

Almost instantly.

The pervasive, unavoidable mental roar spread around the silver dragon.

Buzz!

A wand, emitting tiny silver sparks as if condensed from cosmic material, materialized, suspended over the silver dragon's brow, releasing a dense, mercury-like glow, blocking Nyarlathotep's mental roar.

"Acting so arrogantly on my turf, courting death."

Like a gentle breeze, the silver dragon remained unaffected, advancing relentlessly, wings fiercely beating.

Time Severance!

Silently, as if by the sharpest blade, Nyarlathotep's figures were sliced into countless pieces, severed into chunks.

The remaining Nyarlathotep suddenly transformed into writhing chaotic shadows, converging together.

The new form was different from the initial one Garon saw, no longer covered in tentacles or having a tentacle head. It became a dark-skinned, handsome man dressed like an Egyptian pharaoh, in a splendid robe adorned with gold and jewels, exuding arrogance and enigmatic allure.

In the form of the Black Pharaoh, Nyarlathotep clasped his hands, aligning his thumbs and forefingers into a stable triangle, aiming at the silver dragon.

Boom boom boom boom!

Space twisted, and chunks of black-gold metal materialized, forming a vast black pyramid around the silver dragon, exuding an impregnable, fortress-like defense.

A faint smile curved on Nyarlathotep's dark, handsome face.

"Once trapped in my Chaos Pyramid, even beings of equal power..."

Before he finished speaking, his smile froze.

Because—crash! A sound of mountains collapsing and earth shattering echoed.

The pyramid's outer layer shattered into countless writhing chaotic energies, and a claw, covered in fine silver scales emerged, surrounded by fractured space-time and shimmering with spiraled purple patterns on its scales.

Crash crash crash!

The dragon rampaged, claws tearing through.

In a few breaths, the Chaos Pyramid was utterly destroyed.

"Weak."

The silver dragon muttered.

Subtle purple spiral glows flickered on his body, exuding an unparalleled aura.

Even among top-tier existences, there are strengths and weaknesses. Nyarlathotep, with many mysterious abilities, was not particularly adept at close combat. Observing the silver dragon's formidable physique and fierce performance, it became clear that the dragon excelled in close combat.

"To be the sole top existence of this vast multiverse, you are indeed powerful."

Nyarlathotep said, attempting to distance itself from the silver dragon while its form changed again, transforming into a winged lion without facial features.

"Return to the distant past. By the time you come back, this world will belong to the Old Ones."

Nyarlathotep's wings spread, and a vortex appeared on its faceless head, pulling at the river of time, forming a massive temporal whirlpool.

"Knowing I have time-based abilities and still trying this, you're truly overconfident."

The silver dragon scoffed.

Whoosh!

With a breath aimed at the temporal whirlpool, the river of time calmed.

At this moment, the silver dragon's thoughts moved, severing the river of time to form a separate space, taking Nyarlathotep into it, and disappearing from the Scorched Hell.

A few minutes later.

Buzz!

A red beam pierced through space-time.

Nyarlathotep, now a giant bat with a single fiery red eye, fled the alternate space in a sorry state, the red glow of its eye yet to fade.

The silver dragon arrived simultaneously, a claw descending upon Nyarlathotep.

Crack!

The single eye split into three, rotating rapidly, shooting a beam of chaotic death towards the silver dragon's head.

A dragon claw intercepted the beam.

Sizzling... the chaotic death beam was fully blocked by the dual defenses of the Barrier of Time and the Infinite Monarch Armor. Meanwhile, another dragon claw struck, smashing the bat-like Nyarlathotep and tearing most of its body apart.

Bang!

Before being crushed, Nyarlathotep shattered into countless illusory snakes, slipping through the dragon claw's gaps, with most being crushed. The survivors reformed into a shadowy chaotic serpent.

After this brief confrontation.

Nyarlathotep was convinced it wasn't a match for the Eternal Dragon of Time.

"If I weren't oppressed by this multiverse, I might stand a chance against it."

"But now, I'm at a disadvantage."

It whispered warily to itself.

However, Nyarlathotep didn't realize that the Eternal Dragon of Time, who had been overwhelming it, hadn't used its full power or its most potent weapon.

Gazing at the majestic, robust silver dragon, Nyarlathotep sighed.

It said, "Eternal Dragon of Time, I admit you are strong."

Garon blinked, also looking at Nyarlathotep, not rushing to continue the battle.

"So?"

Nyarlathotep's serpentine face twisted into a malicious grin.

It spoke seriously, "You are indeed strong, but, what if, I mean just what if."

"What if there were two more Outer Gods like me, each stronger in combat than I am? If all three of us came here to fight you, how would you handle it?"

Seeing the silver dragon's expression grow solemn.

Nyarlathotep laughed heartily, "Ha ha, you should have guessed, there are no 'what ifs'. I have two peers!"

Buzz!

The chaotic serpent coiled, forming a ring, unleashing chaotic energy to create a multiverse-spanning gate of chaos. As the gate formed, an aura of madness and confusion seeped through.

Through this chaotic portal, Garon sensed the frenzied essence of the Old Multiverse.

Simultaneously, Nyarlathotep roared.

"Descend, Dark Fertility Goddess, Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young, Shub-Niggurath!"

"Descend, Gate and Key, Unifier of All, Creator of a Thousand Realms, Master of Time and Space, Yog-Sothoth!"
