(Third Person POV)
As everyone gathered around the massive pods, they opened up and shone a bright blue light that engulfed the entire area.
Levy covered her eyes, "W-what's this?" She exclaimed as she felt an immense magic power coming from the light, "Jason!"
"Stay still." Jason said
Kagura raised an eyebrow, "Jason, this power..." She said, "Is this...."
All over the field, the blue light shone, covering the entirety of the council mages and the guild mages.
Bloodman, who was a hundred meters away, saw this with a perplexed face.
"What is this?" He said as he gathered particles all around this, "I shall not let thee!!"
Then there was a massive shockwave as light exploded all over the field.
Jason and Kagura stepped to the middle of the field and watched as the dozens upon dozens of council mages were donned in dark militaristic uniforms with gas mask helmets, the masks had tubing that reached to their hips where a small gas-tank was mounted. Several mages had massive rectangular tanks on their backs as they held what looked like a flamethrower barrel in their hands.
Everyone else was also wearing military uniforms. All of the other guild mages were surprised by the sudden change of wardrobe.
Jason raised a speakerphone, "Attention all allies!" He spoke through it, "You are now wearing clothing that is Magicbane Particle-proof. The particles will not be able to go through your clothes. The masks will prevent you from inhaling them."
Levy looked down, "Are you serious?" She said, "This is huge!"
Kagura nodded, "Indeed." She said, "A convenient power."
Jason then looked over to the dozens of council mages that had the flamethrowers, "Those with the flamethrowers, take the front." He said, "That flamethrow will shoot holy white flames, it'll burn off the particles and will clear the way! This way, you all can fight with no issues. But be warned, the oxygen masks and the flamethrower will have a time limit! 20 minutes is all you have! Which can only mean one thing!"
Jason raised his arm, releasing an immense aura.
"Battlefield: Mounted Defensive Hills"
Suddenly, the ground beneath them began to shake and glow and it was shaped into a massive hill surrounded by barbwire and small bunkers that had openings to them.
"We need to beat that Reaper!" He said, "Gajeel, Sting, Rogue!"
The Dragon Slayers looked up to see Jason on top of the hill.
"What is it?" Gajeel said with a frown
"There are small masks on your person." He said, "Wear them. They're more temporary than the full masks but you lot have to push through and create an opening. Sting, your magic might be able to burn the particles away, but don't risk it! Defeat that Shield!"
They all looked down to see small masks dangled from the side of their uniforms. They then grabbed the masks on their person and put them on.
Gajeel looked over to see the swarm of Alvarez soldiers marching towards them. He also saw Bloodman standing on top of a slop as he was covered in magicbane particles.
Jason looked at the council mages, "Advance!!" He said, "Those without flamethrowers, attack the soldiers. Those with the flamethrowers, push forwards when you see any wave of particles. Remember, there's only 20 minutes!"
Gajeel cracked his knuckles, "I'll handle the shield!" He said
Rogue looked at him, "Don't get ahead of yourself, Gajeel!" He said, "You may need our help!"
"Shut up and open a way!" Gajeel growled as he lunged forwards
Sting sighed, "There's no other choice, Rogue!" He said as he followed, "If he's defeated, we'll step up and finish the Shield off!"
"Gihi!" Gajeel said as he punched through soldiers, "As if that'll happen!"
Suddenly, all three of them were struck by whip-like objects and as soon as they made contact, they were shocked by a form of electricity. The attack was strong enough to push them back as they reeled against the ground.
"What the..!" Sting exclaimed
Rogue rubbed his wrist, "What was that?" He said
Gajeel scowled, "This feeling..." He started
All around them, the Alvarez forces clashed with the council mages and the guild mages. The council mages opened up holes in the advance in order to fire the white flames at the waves of magic bane particles that Bloodman was shooting from afar.
In front of the three, there were two figures that stood between them and Bloodman.
"Look at these fools." Kyoka said with a smile, "They think they can get past us?"
"Never." Seilah said calmly, "Bloodman-dono will kill all of them regardless of how much they resist. We shall deal with these three."
Sting scowled, "I know you!" He growled
"Those are the demons that were once Jason's followers!" Rogue exclaimed
Seilah waved her hand at Rogue, marking him with a bright blue circular mark,
"Macro: Puppeteer"
Suddenly, Rogue struck Gajeel with a shadow attack.
"OI Raios!!" Gajeel said as he blocked it with his forearm, "What's your deal?!"
"I...." Rogue said as he sweated, "I can't control myself!!"
"Rogue!" Sting exclaimed before he was struck by more whips
He was electrified severely and reeled back to see Kyoka's fingers were extended into sharp tendrils.
"Kukuku.." Kyoka said with a sadistic smile, "This will be fun..."
Suddenly, a figure crashed in between them causing a massive shockwave. They felt an immense magic power coming from the dust cloud.
Seilah snapped her fingers, causing Rogue to lunge at who had landed in front of them.
"Runesave: Link Severing"
Rogue was seemingly impaled by a spear, causing him to widen his eyes in shock. The circular mark then disappeared as he was sent flying back.
He hit the ground and immediately got up.
"This..." He said looking up
Jason stood in between them and the She-Demons, holding his Holy Spear. He had a serious look on his face as he took a step forward.
"Ho?" Kyoka said, "Who's this?"
"His magic power is immense..." Seilah noted
"Who am I?" Jason said looking down, "I figured. Mard Geer did say you two wouldn't remember me....."
He then looked at them with a serious glare,
"How about I make you remember?"
