Chapter 334 - Existential conspiracy

The next plate I found turned out to be the most interesting of the lot as I myself had a reaction to it. It was the Draco plate and unlike the other plates that upon being held in my hand I got a sense of their typing energy this plate caused my right eye to react and throb. This was the same eye that Rayquaza gave to me as a blessing and was eerily similar to it's own eye in appearance. The reaction my eye gave wasn't unpleasant or anything like that but merely surprised me as I hadn't realized that the eye itself had dragon type energy in it.-

"Three beings were born to bind time and space."

The inscription was actually a repeat of information given on another plate as it spoke of Dialga, Palkia and Giratina's roles. It was worded differently but the information itself was the same. Not that it mattered really since I already knew the full story more or less. With this addition to my plate collection however there was finally a slight reaction from the rest I possessed once my pokemon holding a plate showed up.-

I possessed the majority of the plates and was missing only five more to complete the seventeen piece set. The reaction despite this was small, almost unrecognizable in fact. If my energy sensing ability wasn't so good I may have missed the small "pulses" of energy the plates released with some many so close together. Not type energy or aura however, something new. I couldn't rightly describe it as I simply had no points for comparison, it was alien and impossible to give words to. There was something about it that was hauntingly beautiful though, like looking at the purest form of potential. -

"That which fills the other side of the world can shape the rage and mold it."

The Iron plate was found by me three days after the Draco plate and it's inscription spoke of Giratina and the distortion world in a way I hadn't thought of till now. 'Why would Arceus and the other two seal Giratina away rather than erasing it if it was beyond saving?' I thought seriously and the answer was made clear through this plate, they wouldn't. This realization was like a massive slap of whiplash as my heartrate rose as I understood my role.-

At the very least Arceus knew that I would one day show up and take the steps I had which would lead to Giratina starting to recover from it's corruption. Knowing this it had set everything up to pave the way for this outcome and sealed Giratina in the distortion world rather than erasing it. This gave me a massive headache to think about because it brought into question my own free will and even the paradox of my interference in the past. The paradox was that if my interference was supposed to happen that meant I was always supposed to go back in time.-

But if that was the case I had to be guaranteed to do this in every timeline or the paradox would create an entirely different timeline with a still mad Giratina. Fucking with time was complicated in summary and the sheer complexity was frying my brain to think about. The take away here however was that my interference was not only known well in advance but counted on by Arceus long before I ever appeared in this world. Free will possibly being bullshit aside this left me with a conclusion that concerned me greatly, my presence in this world was calculated.-

This entire time I had thought the conflicted look Dialga and Palkia gave me at the top of Mt. Coronet was because of Giratina acting through me but now that I knew what I did that gaze may have been truly pointed at me. To hinge so much on a single mortal, was it any wonder they were conflicted? The worse part was if I wasn't wrong this wasn't even the first time Arceus had pulled something like this. The legend of the hero of Hisui made brief mentions of them appearing out of nowhere before saving the day and vanishing just as mysteriously.-

'Hold on a second! I'm not going to be sent back in time to deal with that crisis am I?' I thought with a strange expression. Shaking my head to rid myself of these thoughts I went back into the underground to search for the last four plates. After another two weeks of carefully combing through the place though I only found two of the four plates remaining, the Mind and Icicle plates. The reaction the plates in my collection had with these additions grew more powerful and profound. -

"The Original one breathed alone before the universe came."

"Two beings of time and space set free from the Original one."

The problem at this time however was that I had finished the entire underground and still the Meadow and Splash plates were missing. The system told me where they were however in a quest that had me a little concerned.

[Quest conditions established!

Description: Two plates of antiquity lay hidden from view in two places of great import, Take them!

Objectives: Take the Meadow plate from the Ruins of Solaceon(0/1), Take the Splash plate from the pokemon league research center(0/1), Don't get spotted taking the plates(optional)

Rewards: 1x item ticket, 1x item ticket, 1x guaranteed ability ticket(optional)]

'So the league managed to get a plate in the end after all.' I thought seriously as I looked at the quest description. Getting into the ruins of Solaceon without getting spotted was an easy task since the Unknown that live there mess up any form of remote viewing device such as cameras with the interference their energy gives off in such a large group. Finding and snatching the plate would be easy as well since I could use x-ray vision to find it and shadow warp to get into the chamber it was hidden.-

Sneaking into and stealing the splash plate from the leagues research facility however was an extremely tall order even for me. Shadow warp can get me in and maybe even close to the plate but the league has several dozen security measures that make stealing it a nightmare. Pressure sensors, energy detectors, facial recognition and at least a hundred cameras hooked up to three separate auxiliary power generators to ensure constant surveillance. That didn't even cover the guards and researchers themselves who almost all had pokemon that could detect me in the shadows.
