As the giant monsters were defeated, the battle was beginning to subside. Then Lucifer said, "Astrea, you and Anew go to the arena."
Astrea asked, "Why though?"
Lucifer replied, "Trust me. There is something there that can help us."
Astrea said, "I'm pretty sure unless there's some kind of warrior there, it won't help us."
Lucifer said, "Yes — and now go get it."
Astrea and Anew went to the arena.
Licht said, "Now that the five giants have been taken care of, what do we do now?"
Lucifer replied, "Based on what I'm seeing here, the battle isn't over. Right now, we have the chance to end the war itself."
Licht said, "So the necromancer is here?"
Lucifer said, "There is no such thing as necromancy. No one is strong enough to revive the dead."
Licht said, "But we saw the fallen warriors return — it happened right in front of us."
Lucifer replied, "What happened was reanimation magic, not reincarnation."
Licht said, "Oh, now it makes sense. They're just corpses moving based on their memories."
Lucifer nodded. "Their souls passed on years ago, but their bodies remained. What Zecres used to control them was like puppetry — except Drake is an exception to the rule, and I still don't understand why."
Licht asked, "Is it possible that, at any point in the past, people might have conquered death?"
Lucifer said, "Not in the slightest. It's a force of nature people shouldn't even get close to, much less try to conquer."
Licht said, "Okay then. I'll try to find the leader."
Lucifer said, "Don't bother. I'm retrieving a pawn that will actually make it fun."
Licht said, "For someone I've known my whole life, you sure are a strange man."
Lucifer replied, "Thanks."
Licht said, "That wasn't a compliment."
Lucifer smirked. "That's why I said thanks."
Alysa chimed in, "The western side is all cleared, so civilians are safe to be teleported there — but I wouldn't recommend it."
Licht added, "Same for the east. But since the north is still a battleground, let's finish this and enjoy ourselves."
Lucifer said, "Couldn't agree more."
Astrea and Anew returned, saying, "Sir, we've got it."
Lucifer said, "Finally. Good to see you two found the Ice Crystal."
