Rodney followed Jiraiya's gaze and noticed Stussy, the Queen of Joy Street. He smirked upon realizing her attention, and she responded with a subtle smile. Stussy, with her ever-changing demeanor, exuded a mix of allure, seduction, innocence, and tranquility as she approached.
Stussy greeted Rodney, "Hello, Rodney dear. It's nice to finally meet you in person. You've made quite a name for yourself as the Arms Dealer and Emperor of Destruction in the underworld."
Rodney chuckled and raised his glass, dabbing at his nose. He commented, "No need for flattery. I have a rather sensitive nose, especially when it comes to cosmetics. Your perfume is quite strong. Would you mind keeping a bit of distance?"
Stussy laughed in response. "Of course, I understand. I'm Stussy, the Queen of Joy Street. Nice to meet you, I'm the hermit and toad sage, Jiraiya."
Jiraiya, ever the charismatic entertainer, initiated a lively conversation with Stussy. Their interaction quickly became comfortable, and they both seemed to be enjoying themselves. Rodney couldn't help but admire Jiraiya's ability to establish rapport with almost anyone.
As the joyous music played, the bride and groom, Capone Bege and Charlotte Chiffon, appeared, transported on the Candy Escalator of Pero Pero. The wedding proceeded smoothly without any unexpected incidents, and the couple exchanged rings and vows, sealing their union with a kiss. The Flame Tank Pirates officially became a part of Big Mom's pirate crew.
Rodney, uninterested in the wedding proceedings, focused on the delicious dishes before him. He had developed a technique called "Life Return," which allowed him to eat to his heart's content without gaining weight or compromising his fitness. The cuisine at Big Mom's wedding was undeniably exceptional, given that she was willing to start wars for good food.
The chefs here were top-notch, and even Sanji and Lester admitted that some dishes were beyond their culinary skills. Rodney couldn't help but feel a pang of regret that he hadn't brought Robin along to fully appreciate the culinary delights.
Starry-eyed, Brûlée looked at the bride and groom. "I envy you so much, Charlotte," she whispered to herself, secretly stealing glances at Sanji. She wished she could have a loving relationship like Charlotte's and Capone's.
Sanji noticed Brûlée's melancholy expression and asked with concern, "Is something bothering you, Brûlée?"
Brûlée quickly composed herself and replied, "It's nothing, Sanji-sama. Please try this. It's the Head Chef's specialty."
The people at the table couldn't help but feel their hearts skip a beat as Sanji and Brûlée shared a moment. Rodney, on the other hand, was wholly absorbed in his own thoughts. He contemplated whether he should have brought Robin here.
The wedding culminated with a magnificent cake that was reserved exclusively for Big Mom. No one else dared to touch it. Rodney couldn't help but wonder if he could poison it without raising suspicion. However, he quickly dismissed the idea, knowing that Big Mom's body was incredibly resilient.
As the festivities continued, Rodney wondered if his clone had completed its mission.
