Nirav and Adhyant entered the city of Amidah. Their hopes were high as this was the first time the golden feather detected her trace.
"Lord, from what I remember, Esha was a free soul who loved to travel. What if the traces are from her last visit?" Adhyant expressed his doubt.
"Exactly. 2000 years... It's been 2,000 years, and if this land still oozes her fragrances, then it wasn't just a single visit. This place was special for her.
My golden feather only detected her past presence in Amidah and no other city in the human realm;
Adhyant, from all these I can confidently tell you that whenever she mentioned traveling, she ultimately ended up in Amidah."
"But, my lord... no one, not even Lord Bhavin, is aware of her frequent visits to Amidah."
"Yes... She hid it well. She sought help... perhaps the culprit we are looking for is closer than we think. Ahh... this is getting interesting..."
Nirav plucked a flower nearby and, caressing it gently, murmured, "Esha, you were not as simple as you seemed..."
The golden feather continued to drift away. Following it, they made their way toward Amidah Street, where they noticed small crowds gathered here and there. Curious, they approached the nearest group of people, who appeared to be in a state of panic.
"What happened?" Adhyant asked one of the individuals in the crowd.
The man replied, his voice anxious yet somewhat listless, "Lord Akira has been captured by the soldiers..."
Adhyant came back and said, "Seems like a lord... named Akira was captured. From what I've heard from the people, it seems like a bit serious and they are worried about her. Feels like a good person captured wrong.
Lord... Should we help?"
"Adhyant, every human has their own fate and destiny. As gods, we cannot interfere in their life cycles. If she is a good person, she will be rewarded in the afterlife." Nirav patted him on the shoulder and continued walking. After taking about ten steps, Nirav paused and looked back at Adhyant.
"When you return, take a look at Akira's life story and offer her some help."
"Lord! Where has the cold demeanor you just displayed gone?" Adhyant remarked sarcastically, looking at his lord.
"Regardless, Adhyant, take a look at how many people are worried about her. She might be a good person who deserves your help."
They continued walking and reached a bamboo forest. The feather floated through the air and landed at a temple situated on an elevation visible at the end of the forest.
