The Book of the Future sneered, "You speak as if you haven't switched masters, what 'evil soul spirit'? Aren't they just house slaves?"
"What did you say? Damned book! Traitor!"
"That's right! You shit-loving waste!"
The two of them hurled mad insults at each other and, once again, locked in a scuffle.
Rod paid no attention to them; in his brief conversation with Asa, he had learned that Wind City had been under siege by creatures called Pus Giants for several months.
Their towering bodies possessed intense pollution and corrosiveness, nearly indestructible and endlessly emerging.
"Without a doubt, this is a disaster," said Guard Captain Kaiso.
"But the source of the disaster remains unknown; neither the White Tower nor the Investigation Legion have found it, but after months of investigation, we've discovered some clues."
Asa smiled at Rod, "That's why you're here."
Rod, surprised, said, "I can help you find the source of the disaster?"
