Playing with the ointment in her hand, Flossie tossed it up and down twice before watching Sandy Cruz's figure disappear at the stairs.
Rising to her feet, she grabbed the ointment and headed for the dormitory.
There were 11 people in the Dormitory, and aside from Flossie, everybody else was there.
Most were getting ready to take showers.
Pausing at the door, Flossie's gaze shifted and fell on Jessie Grain and Mariana Buck's bunks.
Mariana, who usually slept in the top bunk, was now sitting on Jessie's lower bunk. With her left trouser leg rolled up, the bruise was still clearly visible under the dim light.
Jessie squatted beside her, applying ointment to her leg.
Seeing the situation clearly, Flossie walked straight over.
