"I've taken part in most of them. I haven't joined the tug-of-war, but I'm in all the others." Xia Ziqian uttered these words with a noticeable hint of resentment, as if someone had forced him to do so.
"Why didn't you join the tug-of-war then?" Xia Liyou asked curiously. To her recollection, the sports day events comprised mostly running and tug-of-war. It's been a long time since she's left her elementary school days behind.
Xia Ziqian pouted in response, "Tug-of-war requires too much strength. The teacher asked a few overweight kids from our class to participate."
Following his explanation, Xia Liyou realized that her son did appear to be getting slimmer.
"Then, Ziqian, make sure to eat more and put on some weight." Xia Liyou cracked a warm smile as she peeled an egg for her son, assuming he was upset about not participating in the tug-of-war.
