After seeing off Cao Lingling, Tangtang suddenly felt a bit melancholic, strolling alone by the South Lake Park next to the school. It was already autumn, with fallen leaves scattered everywhere, and not many visitors around. Most were couples holding each other, or sitting on benches whispering sweet nothings, looking particularly endearing.
There were also groups of three sisters or pairs of friends, carrying small backpacks, hurrying along while laughing and chatting as they walked.
Tangtang, by herself, her hands tucked into the pockets of her white hoodie. Although the weather in October wasn't especially cold, by the afternoon, the temperature still dropped a bit.
She casually walked to a bench by the lake and sat down, quietly watching the fallen leaves in the lake, the ones at her feet, and then looking up at the sky, suddenly feeling that the autumn scene was rather beautiful.
