"What?! He's gone? Where did he go!?"
Not long after Jiang Jiamian had left, Father and Mother Jiang rushed to the hospital to pick him up, only to find the ward empty.
Doctor Fang looked surprised. "I heard he called someone to pick him up when he was discharged. He didn't call you?"
Come to think of it, the conversation on the phone call sounded a bit strange.
"No!" Mother Jiang's expression changed, visibly anxious.
Father Jiang quickly patted her on the shoulder to calm her down. "Don't worry, let's just call him and find out where he is. I just hope he didn't go looking for trouble with Fu Xiaoyuan and Tang Tang. Those two have been close for a while now, Jiamian will only upset himself if he goes to see them."
"Hello? Dad?"
Thankfully, the call connected quickly, and Jiang Jiamian's voice on the other end sounded completely normal.
"Where are you? I took time off from work today just to pick you up from the hospital, and you ran off without even waiting for us!"
