"I have."
Roman balled his fists.
"But what do you want me to do? Do you think that I can fix anything? Any of this?"
Yuri stood staring at him.
"You saw what that bastard did, what he did to her father. Adeline is broken, and I'm not the one who can fix anything. If there is anyone who can fix her, it's the man she loves, the man who loves her, and that's Caesar, not me."
He shook his head.
Yuri breathed. "How can…how can someone who needs fixing fix someone else?"
"I don't know." Roman shrugged. "I have no clue. But she's his mate, so it's either he does or watch her keep breaking apart in front of him until there is no part of her left. Until…she's in pieces."
"That's not….that can't…"
Yuri took a step back and turned, leaving with his hands balled tight into fists.
Roman watched him go. He ran his fingers through his blonde hair, throwing his head back to stare at the dark sky.
He was silent, trying to think.
What could he do?
