Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 Weeds? No! This is a Rare Level Spiritual Plant!_1

[Do you want to choose to Devour?]

[Option 1]: Yes

[Option 2]: No

Su Yan gazed at the two options before him and couldn't help but fall into deep thought.

If I devour this fox tail, I'll gain an extra life.

But on second thought, the tail could be used to concoct the Big Rejuvenation Pill that revives people from the dead.

That must surely be worth a lot of money.

So... should I sell it to a shop for money? Or devour the fox tail for Life+1?

Su Yan was somewhat indecisive. He wanted to try out the effect of Super Double on Exotic Flower Fruits, and acquiring Exotic Flower Fruits required a significant amount of money.

After pondering for a while, Su Yan finally made his decision, feeling that preserving his life was of utmost importance at the moment. After all, this game world, where evolution reigned supreme, didn't seem peaceful at all. Giant Beasts were as common as dogs, and Monsters roamed everywhere. People could be sitting at home when creatures attacked from the sky; such incidents happened frequently, leaving everyone feeling endangered.

If I could gain an extra life, not to mention anything else, at least my margin for error would be much higher.

[Option 1]: Yes

Su Yan chose to Devour the tail.

Quickly, accompanied by rising faint blue particle effects, the fox tail in Su Yan's hand spontaneously dissolved and vanished. At the same time, two notifications popped up in the depths of his mind.

[Swallowing Successful]

[Life+1+1+1...]

Su Yan took a moment to assess his body. Other than feeling more vigorous than before, there seemed to be no other particular changes.

I gained an extra life just like that?

Su Yan was skeptical. But there was no way to verify it, which was rather frustrating to think about.

Actually, there was nothing much to worry about. If I have it, I have it; if not, then not. Anyway, it was a freebie, so there's no loss either way.

Thinking this, Su Yan walked back to the more spacious side of the bed and stopped. Now on the verge of evolving, he planned to push through in one go and do several sets of push-ups, hoping to advance his Creature Level to Advanced.

Sunlight poured in through the window. Su Yan bent down, hands flat on the floor, then his body began frantically moving up and down...

About ten minutes later, Su Yan sat on the floor, drenched in sweat, with grey-black muck clinging all over him. After ten minutes of high-intensity movement, he had finally evolved into an Advanced Level Being, just as he wished. His body had also undergone a transformation, with many impurities being expelled from within.

"I can't take this anymore! I'm overwhelmed!" Su Yan couldn't stand the strange smell emanating from the impurities on his body. He immediately grabbed a clean set of clothes, ran into the bathroom, and rinsed himself directly under the tap.

Before long, Su Yan had completely washed off the muck, leaving no trace of the strange smell. He turned off the tap. Naked, he stood before the washstand mirror. While drying the water droplets from his body with a towel, he examined his reflection with interest. His features were well-defined, his muscles distinct, and his skin fair, smooth, and very delicate.

At first glance, I seem even more exquisite than that Fox Demon just now.

Just then, a loud banging noise of a door hitting the wall came from outside.

BANG!

Immediately after, a slightly puzzled Loli Voice sounded from outside the door. "Eh, where is everyone?"

That familiar way of opening the door. That familiar Loli Voice.

Su Yan knew his troublesome little sister had brought him his god-sent meal. With that in mind, he quickly got dressed. However, he had barely finished putting on his clothes and hadn't yet managed to step out when his troublesome elementary school-aged sister suddenly started screaming at the top of her lungs.

"Su Yan, I came all the way from home to bring you food!"

"Where are you, where are you, where are you...?"

Her tone was somewhat complaining. It was as if she were thinking: I've gone to such lengths to bring you food, and you're not even here?! This is infuriating...

"Why the hell are you yelling? I'm right here, right here, right here, right here, right here...?" Su Yan emerged from the bathroom, scolding with annoyance, "Seriously, you're a girl, yet you're always yelling at the top of your lungs. Be careful, or you might never get married!"

Su Erke dismissed his warning and even retorted with some pride, "So what if I don't get married? You can just take care of me, right?"

Su Yan gave her an unimpressed look, then said mercilessly, "Haha, keep dreaming."

Seeing her brother's unwillingness, Su Erke immediately got upset. "Bro, that's too much!" She puffed up her cheeks angrily and shouted, "What's wrong with you supporting a cute little loli sister like me for life?"

Su Yan couldn't be bothered with her anymore.

This girl looks quite demure and cute. The only problem is her mouth! She's always screaming and shouting at the drop of a hat, like a shrew cursing in the street. It's so noisy it makes my ears ring; it's utterly maddening.

Perhaps this is the real-life version of: the pinker the avatar, the fiercer the flame.

Meanwhile, Su Erke, sitting to the side, had no idea she was being dissed by her own brother. She took a lunch box out of the bag and passed it to her brother. "Little Yanzi, your fairy sister has brought you food again today. How do you plan to repay me?"

Su Yan took the lunch box with some irritation and said, "Ha, repay you? I'm being generous by not hitting you. You're always so disrespectful, calling me 'Su Yan' all the time. Don't you think 'Brother' would be more appropriate?"

Su Erke pouted, feeling a bit indignant. "You're so frail you can't even beat me, so if anything, you should be calling me 'Big Sis'!"

"Haha, always quick with a retort." Su Yan was too tired to argue with her and just opened the lunch box and started eating. He had been quite active today. His stomach was already growling. If he didn't hurry up and eat to restore his energy, he felt like he would collapse from hunger.

Su Yan picked up his chopsticks, grabbed a piece of green vegetable, chewed it twice, and swallowed. Then, suddenly, a new string of numerical information popped up in his mind.

Evolution +1+1+1...

My god!!! I'm evolving just from eating a piece of vegetable? Incredible! Wow!!!

Su Yan got a bit excited and began to eat more eagerly. However, the anticipated numerical information did not appear again.

Could it be that piece of vegetable just now...?

Su Yan seemed to realize something and immediately asked, "Erke, that green vegetable in the lunch box just now, do you know where it came from?"

"It wasn't bought. Little Beans dug up some weed while playing with mud outside," Su Erke continued, "Mom thought it was a vegetable our neighbor Aunt Liu gave us, so she fried it without much thought. Turns out the weed was very bitter. Mom tasted it, found it awful, and threw it all out."

Hearing this, Su Yan's face turned green. "Su Erke, you need to explain to me why, if Mom threw the weed away, there was still a piece in my lunch box?"

"Why are you getting so angry? It's not like I picked it from the trash. I just saw the weed was bitter and put one piece in your lunchbox before Mom threw the rest out," she explained.

"Forget it, I won't hold it against you." Su Yan had wanted to get angry, but considering his troublesome little sister brought him food every day, he reluctantly forgave her.

But on second thought... where exactly did Little Beans dig up that weed? I'll have to ask her properly when I get home, Su Yan thought to himself. Because that seemingly ordinary weed might actually be a Rare Level Spiritual Plant. It was a type of celestial treasure that could produce Exotic Flower Fruits—truly priceless and effectively unobtainable on the open market.
