Chapter 156 - The war of the tribes!

 MC POV

As I walked around the village, I witnessed the preparations of the tribal warriors.

Countless individuals held sharp, powerful weapons — weapons that bore traces of vibranium elements. However, they were covered in paint or cloth, so without a sensory ability like mine or a detailed inspection, no one would be able to tell.

Their bodies and muscles radiated strength, vitality, and the power of people hardened by an environment steeped in hostility and survival challenges.

Many of them also bore markings etched into their bodies — symbols that represented unique aspects of their culture.

Of course, what truly caught my attention were the mighty dinosaurs clad in simple armor.

There were triceratops, pterosaurs, tyrannosaurs rex, velociraptors, and a few others.

The sight of these massive beasts, with dangerous bones, teeth, and muscle, radiating raw power, was awe-inspiring.

"Mr. Immortal."

A voice called out from ahead.

It was a striking woman, well-built and wielding a powerful spear. Surrounding her were various animals — snakes, eagles, and velociraptors — all seemingly her loyal protectors.

She was, without a doubt, the mother of that adorable boy: Shanna.

The boy, upon seeing her, immediately leaped into her arms and hugged her tightly.

"Mom! I want to go hunting with you!"

"No, little one," she said firmly. "Just like the other children and non-warriors, you must stay safe within the tribe."

He looked like he wanted to argue, but the commanding gaze of his mother silenced him.

Then she turned to me.

"Thank you for the help you will provide, and for the temporary protection of our tribe."

"It's a deal," I replied with a friendly voice.

These past few days, I had created a weaker barrier around the tribe — enough to keep them safe during the war.

Normally, I wouldn't have done it. But I grew fond of that little boy, and that attachment led me to offer them this extra protection.

I also reinforced the defense lines where S.H.I.E.L.D. forces were positioned.

With the barrier in place, I looked at a few of the elite warrior groups.

Some wielded electric weapons and enhanced equipment suited for battle, including reinforced vests.

There was no high technology involved, considering the limitations caused by the city's magnetic field.

"I'll take my position now," I said with a smile, as the wind wrapped around my body and carried me toward the city.

 3 POV

In the city of the Stone God, warriors were preparing their weapons and gathering their strength.

Some dinosaurs were tied up with metallic ropes and other strange restraints.

The most notable group consisted of individuals with bodies that appeared to be made of stone.

They held staffs emitting a dangerous red energy.

The leader was a massive stone man engaged in conversation with a woman dressed like a priestess or sorceress.

"You won't help us anymore?"

"I already enchanted your staffs and reinforced some of your weapons using my sorcery and the natural power of the jungle.

I even made some of the dinosaurs obedient to your command. I won't interfere further."

In truth, her assistance had already exceeded expectations.

Yet, something about her seemed off — as if she was trying to escape.

"You look like you're running from something… afraid," Garokk observed.

His words clearly struck a nerve, but she said nothing and began to walk away.

"I've done what I could. It's up to you now."

And almost at a run, she vanished into the jungle.

She remembered the energy that had attacked her — it had taken two days for her to recover.

Luckily, she managed to strengthen Garokk in that time.

But she had no intention of staying any longer. That terrifying being could be near.

A few minutes later…

The sound of approaching beasts and armies echoed through the jungle.

Garokk's tribe was armed, and their leader stood ready.

Slaves were cast aside, prepared to be used as sacrificial pawns if needed.

Curiously, no children or elders could be seen — as if they were never part of this tribe, possibly taken from others.

The stone giant stood still, his eyes glowing with raw energy.

A powerful sensation of destruction, danger, and tension filled the air.

War drums and primitive instruments roared on both sides, accompanied by the guttural sounds of dinosaurs and beasts.

The aura of war and looming destruction was undeniable.

But then — unnaturally and without warning — powerful winds began to swirl.

In mere seconds, two massive tornadoes appeared.

They stood upright, colossal in size, unleashing violent, destructive winds.

Garokk furrowed his stone brow.

Then the tornadoes suddenly twisted — unnaturally shifting from vertical to horizontal, forming what looked like giant wind cannons ready to fire.

Sensing danger, Garokk didn't hesitate.

Mystic, destructive energy surged in his eyes, and he unleashed a devastating beam of power.

That marked the signal.

One tornado clashed against the energy beam, while the second slammed into part of his army, breaking their formation and causing chaos.

The double impact acted as a call to war.

Both armies surged into combat.

At the forefront was a couple riding ferocious beasts, targeting some of the stronger stone warriors.

At the battlefield's center, the tornado and energy beam annihilated one another.

The stone being remained in place, his gaze fixed on the origin of the wind.

From that center, a figure descended, carried by the winds.

He was cloaked in a mysterious mist — his appearance and entrance alien, as if he did not belong to this world.

His voice boomed across the battlefield.

"War is an unfortunate thing… but I still must play my role.

I only hope the damage caused here will be minimal."

And with that, he vanished — only to reappear behind the stone giant, and both disappeared together.

The abrupt vanishing of their leader — the so-called "god" — shocked the enemy army.

Still, the strongest of the stone warriors regrouped and pressed on.

But without their leader, and with two powerful warriors on the other side, they couldn't hold the advantage for long.

Only the enchanted items and sorcery kept them in the fight.

MC POV

When I arrived, I was surprised to see the enemy had been strengthened — unlike last time — with enchanted gear and dinosaur servants supporting them.

Clearly, someone had intervened.

Still, I didn't change my plan too much.

Within me, the ancient power of wind's resonance surged.

Though it drained my physical energy, I summoned massive tornadoes, then empowered them further with my wand, conjuring magical wind currents to intensify the assault while saving stamina.

I focused on their leader — the stone giant.

As our attacks collided and canceled each other out, I teleported behind him and used Kai Kai to transport us elsewhere.

We reappeared in a vast swampy land.

His heavy body crashed into the mud while I hovered above.

"You're called a god. I'm genuinely curious about your strength…

The gods I've faced before were far more impressive."

Then, calmly, I raised my hand.
