"What the hell did you just do?!" Elif screamed at Kiyomi, who stood still, her eyes still fixed on the place where she had closed the portal. The place where she had sealed her fate.
The place that was now just emptiness – the one thing that had taken away her chances at happiness.
She was still reeling from the fact that she had just erased herself from her Erasthai's memory, like it was nothing. Like she hadn't tried to make sense of shit before leaving.
Sure, she hadn't erased Otaru's memory, but Otaru knew better than to try and trigger the memories that the queen consort herself had chosen to erase. It was a cruel thing that she had done; not just to herself, but to her Erasthai and everyone that cared about her.
Kiyomi had made the worst possible decision, and gods, she knew it too.
It was already haunting her.
The way that she would never feel Sakura under her again.
The way that the woman she had loved would never have love in her eyes for her.
