The next day, in the morning.
Around 7 o'clock, Yu Chiyin's biological clock woke him up as usual. Opening his eyes, he saw Fan Ju still sleeping, so he remained quiet and didn't disturb him.
Upon returning to the hospital room, he summoned Fan Ju's attending physician and inquired about some of Fan Ju's injuries.
The doctor told him that Fan Ju's injuries weren't severe. After resting for a few days in the hospital post-surgery, he could be discharged and continue recuperating at home.
Yu Chiyin thought about some abnormalities in Fan Ju's behavior the previous night and asked thoughtfully:
"Doctor, could a person's behavior change if they were injured or, say, experienced some trauma?"
Caught off guard by the question, the doctor asked, "Mr. Yu, could you specify what kinds of changes you mean?"
"Like seeming a bit estranged, nervous and lost when facing me," Yu Chiyin explained, "He seems to be a bit afraid of me."
