Lesley looked at his status window and frowned.
"This...is way more complicated than the video games I remember." He barely understood everything before him.
[If you focus, you can get detailed information on anything you do not understand]
Okay, he thought and focused on the Titles, sensing they were really important.
[Primordial Heir; You have inherited the bloodline of the Primordials, the first beings of power. As the inheritor of an extinct bloodline, one unseen in Origin Eras, you gain a boon of power, always outreaching Powers at your level. Which you will need, since The Origins will see you as a threat if ever you cross their paths.]
"That...does not sound good. Who are these Origins again? Why do they hate me? I only want to be stronger than Death." Lesley felt a feeling of subtle fear, fleetingly wondering if he overreached on deciding a goal.
[The Origins are the strongest Powers currently known in the Cosmic realm. Revered and feared, they are a mysterious force that none dare challenge. Except you.]
"Well, my life just got crumby." Lesley clenched his fist and shoved his fear down, he'd agreed to become stronger than Death. Of course there would be consequences, he didn't expect these ones, but he would accept them.
[Aggrieved One; You and those you loved have been puppeteered by stronger beings like slaves to their whims, and your rage has grown boundlessly. Your grievances fuel your resolve to get back at your tormentors and possess power above them. They will know your pain. ]
"Hmmm. I don't know if that makes me sound childish but yeah, that's true. What's next?" Lesley looked at his Bloodline information, but everything was explanatory after Phix explained earlier and after reading his first title.
"Cultivation? Isn't that from those ...what are they called again? Webnovels? I read those things when really bored." Lesley looked at his cultivation rankings with a frown," Phix can you explain the two?"
[Of course. Physical cultivation is about cultivating spiritual energy to strengthen and empower the body. Spiritual cultivation is cultivation to empower and strengthen the soul.]
" What about the other information? The levels and ranking?"
[ Here is the power system for both cultivation paths;
•
Physical cultivation rankings;
1.Mortal Coil {Level 1- 5}
2.Transcendent Novice {Level 5-15}
3.Nascent Warrior {Level 15-25}
4.Immortal Lord {Level 25-35}
5.Celestial Titan {Level 35-40}
∆
Spiritual cultivation rankings;
1.Soul Awakening {Level 1-10}
2. Soul Ascending {Level 10-15}
3. Soul Aura {Level 15-25}
4. Soul Lord {Level 25-30}
5. Soul Titan {Level 30-40}
•
Due to your low cultivation, further ranks are excluded. ]
Lesley looked them both with confused eyes.
" That's a lot of levels. Why is my Spiritual cultivation at a higher level than my Physical cultivation?" He asked Phix.
[You posses a strong soul, you have two intergraded Laws and a Primordial Bloodline. This has subconsciously boosted your Spiritual cultivation to a higher level. However your Physical cultivation is weak due to your Aether Core being unstable.]
"Huh, okay. What about the two laws you mentioned? I see them on the interface but I don't understand what they mean. Are they Mortal laws?"
[No. When one refers to Mortal laws, they refer to the laws of a plane lacking Origin energy and Most forms of spiritual energies. The two laws you possess are your Cultivation pathways to Ascension and Evolution.]
"Uh, what? I'm getting confused again." Lesley ruffled his hair.
[Reality laws are Rules that govern worlds, universes , planes and The Cosmic realm. Powers or in your case, cultivators, can choose a feature of Reality laws to study, adapt to and use to become stronger. For example, A Power cultivating with a Main law of Water, will have strong affinity with water laws, posses aquatic techniques and abilities.]
"Oh, so my laws are just parts of reality I am learning to control?"
[Hmmm...it is more like you are mastering them, not like a scholar with books but a King with subjects.]
That sounded edgy, Lesley gave a small smile," Why is one called a Main law and the second is a Minor law?"
[Main laws are the awakened laws that a Power posseses from birth, and is awakened when they reach enlightenment or are impacted by other factors. It is a cosmic talent or affinity intergraded with ones soul. A Main law is a part of a Cultivator, and offers their main path for cultivating and becoming stronger. Minor laws are secondary laws learnt in tandem with the Main law, and can be any law the cultivator chooses, even laws opposing the Main law, although that is hardly ever done.]
"What? Then why the hell is mine reanimation!? Am I a freaking necromancer?" Lesley shouted at Phix, but the Spirit of bloodline replied in their calm soft voice.
[Your current Main law was Intergraded after you received the Primordial bloodline, however you did not reach enlightenment to obtain it. It is my assessment that Lych , The Power cultivating the law of Reanimation , bonded it to your soul whilst within you.]
"That fucking asshole! Get rid of it!" Lesley demanded but The Bloodlines next message made him pause.
[ Warning! Removal of Main law will undo cultivation progress, remove abilities and lead to soul damage ]
"I'm guessing that's bad." Lesley swore and layed back on the bed with an angry groan. After a minute, he calmed down and sat back up. "I'll live with it. I don't like Reanimation after all that's happened, but it's Death I have a problem with. I'll use whatever it takes to free myself from being a puppet.."
[Lych approves of your decision.]
[Liv accepts your decision.]
"Wait! Those bastards are still around? Why are they quiet? You two, talk!" Lesley frowned at the open air, wanting to hit them both.
[Spiritual cultivation is too low for Soul communication.]
"What? So I can't talk to them until I get to another level? What's up with that?"
[Prior to obtaining the Primordial Phoenix bloodline, your soul space housed your three souls. Communication was possible, but your soul was being strained continuously. This, according to your memories led to a drop in Sanity, Stamina and a dangerous increase in Spirit. How are you alive?]
"So...that's the reason for my nightmares? But they eventually stopped by themselves." Lesley replied.
[The two Powers sealed off their auras, making the strain on your soul less fatal.]
"Well...I guess I owe them a thank you. But it's still their fault in the first place, so forget it." Lesley wasn't going to thank them at all," What's next? Physical attributes? Hmmm. They look high but I don't know if I'm strong or weak judging from this."
[You are a margin stronger than the average human. Here is an example of a non cultivating human's information and physical attributes taken from the human outside the room earlier;
•
Name: Jeff Wiwater
Species: Human
Class: None
∆
PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES;
Strength: 14
Agility: 12
Stamina: 19/20
Vitality: 15/15
•
The human possesses no magical attributes and has not learnt any laws.]
"Oh my god, if I wanted to, I could kill him!" Lesley gasped and chuckled softly," Not that I want to, but damn. Why is he so weak? He's so muscular and buff, I thought he'd be near me. So that's difference between a normal person and a Cultivator? Please don't let it get to my head."
Lesley noted his Sanity meter was back at full. He didn't ask about Sanity points and moved on to the next feature, Magical attributes.
[Spirit: This is your Magical attunement, sensitivity and level of connection to spiritual energies. The level of talent you have with mystical energies around you. {There is an increase brought by The Primordial bloodline}]
"Hmmm. I can't compare this with anyone like I did with Jeff, since I'm the only one with it." Lesley sighed and moved on.
[Aether Soul Sea: Aether is gathered into the soul, forming a sea in one's soul space and Spiritual cultivation increases the size of your Aether Soul Sea. Aether an attribute-less spiritual energy used for spells, techniques and abilities by Awakened Powers.]
"Is that what that water was?" Lesley thought back to the black waters he saw in his soul," Is that my Aether I always saw?"
[Yes. You always appeared in your soul space near your Aether Soul Sea.]
"Oh. Okay, next then. I won't question why it's so black until after this."
[Aether Core: An Aether Core is formed by a Physical cultivator in their inner domain, separate from a Soul space. It acts as an organ, providing spiritual energy to strengthen the body to a higher state of being. { Your Aether Core is unstable and unusable, any attempt to use it will result in spiritual recoil and physical damage.}]
"Hmmm. I don't remember any Core- Wait! That green ball!" Lesley remembered the floating green ball he saw in his soul space. Sometimes small like a soccer ball and other times as big as a skyscraper." That's gotta be it. But why is it unstable and didn't you say its supossed to be in my Inner domain?"
[Assessing... assessment complete!]
[ Your Aether Core was force formed haphazardly during fitful moments of meditation, drawing on your soul energy and thin Aether for four years. Due to your lack of a physical cultivation technique, you incidentally formed your Aether Core in your Soul space.]
"So...I made it myself but... incorrectly? Just great. So I spent four years making some mystical green sphere in my head without a clue of what I was doing." Lesley's dejection was clear.
Four years was how long he'd been in Greenhit, and to think he'd been cultivating without knowing it. What a cruel twist of fate, if he'd known maybe he could have done something. Maybe he'd have gotten strong enough to become a Squad fighter at a younger age.
[You must find a way to safely stabilize your Aether Core and reform it in your Inner domain. Any destabilizing in your Soul space can lead to soul damage and physical damage by your Aether Core.]
Oh well, Lesley shrugged his shoulders, that keeps getting better and better. Hopefully he would find a solution.
[Soul points: By absorbing souls and taking their energy you grow in power and understanding with your Law of Reanimation. Soul points can be used to upgrade skills, abilities and attributes. ]
Lesley stared at the panel with wide eyes, his focus on the phrase 'absorbing souls'. He looked at his Bloodline interface again, seeing the number '10' on the Soul points. That meant he had absorbed a soul...
"What the actual fuck!?" Lesley shouted loudly.
[Warning! -10 Sanity points]
