Weilan received a call from Lu Hechen at three-thirty in the afternoon.
Seeing that it was from Lu Hechen, she hesitated a bit but pressed the answer button.
As soon as the call connected, Lu Hechen immediately spoke. "Weilan?"
"Yes!" Weilan responded with a hum.
Hearing her voice, Lu Hechen finally breathed a little easier.
"Care to have a meal together?" Lu Hechen probed.
"I just ate, and I'm not hungry." Weilan replied.
Though rebuffed, Lu Hechen didn't get angry. He continued in a coaxing tone, "Dinner later, I'll make a reservation."
Weilan said, "I'll be going back to the villa tonight."
Lu Hechen was taken aback. "Which one? Yours or the seaside one?"
"Mine." Weilan replied.
"Oh, okay, I'll come over too." Lu Hechen said immediately.
Weilan felt a bit awkward. "Who invited you?"
Lu Hechen, unfazed, continued, "You did."
"I certainly did not."
"You invited me in your heart. I heard your call, so I decided to come at once."
