"Good fucking girl," I murmured, brushing her damp hair back from her face.
And Khione, still on her knees, looked up and licked her lips clean.
The moment her lips parted and she swallowed, her throat bobbing subtly, I felt the tension crackle between us like stormlight caught in crystal. I brushed my thumb again along her lips, slower this time, feeling the faint wetness still slick from what she'd taken in, tasting me.
