Snape: "..."
What do you mean?
Snape looked at Andy with a menacing expression.
You better explain yourself clearly. What do you mean I'll keep your secret?
Trust me, I'll tell Dumbledore about your nonsense tomorrow.
Seeing this, Andy just shook his head with a smile.
Andy was never afraid of others knowing about his studies in magic.
So what if they know?
Can they stop me?
In fact, Andy hopes that more people will become involved so that they can study together and make progress collectively.
For example... Snape!
After all, one person's time and energy are limited, and even if Andy has a system, there are bound to be things that he hasn't thought of.
For this, he needs the wisdom of others.
Unfortunately...
Grindelwald is obsessed with his 'cause', Dumbledore is busy saving the wizarding world, and as for Snape... his behaviour at the moment makes Andy think of a saying – the emperor isn't worried, but his eunuch is – Andy really doesn't know how Snape's mind works.
Andy felt helpless about this.
Can't someone just settle down and focus on academic pursuits like me?
That's the important thing.
After a moment of silence, Snape suddenly asked, "Are you going to watch from here?"
"What do you suggest?"
Andy asked, without turning to look, "Impersonating someone from the Ministry of Magic?"
"Dementors..."
Snape quickly changed the subject: "They may not be what you think... You may be disappointed."
Andy blinked. "Professor, did you find something?"
Snape said indifferently, "In the past few days, I have looked into the history of Azkaban. Dementors... Perhaps they are man-made dark creatures."
"I know all about that!"
Andy smiled, then said pointedly, "History can be distorted! Professor, I never believe in that."
"What's really intriguing is the Ministry of Magic's official response."
After a pause, Andy continued, "Those who investigated Azkaban only reported that it was infested with dementors and refused to say anything more."
"This is the Ministry's official record!"
"So...who investigated this place?"
"The Unspeakables!"
"Only the members of the Department of Mysteries have the privilege to keep the Ministry's top brass in the dark."
"Not only that..."
"After Azkaban was remodelled into a prison, one Minister of Magic felt that the conditions in Azkaban were inhumane. He wanted to find an alternative to Azkaban or to dismiss the use of the Dementors as guards."
"And then... he died!"
Andy turned to look at Snape and chuckled lightly as he said this: "According to the Ministry records, this Minister died of dragon pox."
"But the funny thing is that since the death of this Minister, no Minister has ever considered closing Azkaban. They have turned a blind eye to everything that transpires within its confines."
Andy had researched everything about Azkaban and the Dementors long ago.
It was possible for a Minister of Magic to choose not to intervene.
But for all the Ministers of Magic to do nothing... was that even possible?
So...
The only explanation was that someone had put a stop to it!
Snape said slowly, "In fact, the Ministry of Magic is already considering eradicating the dementors."
"Oh?"
Andy was suddenly interested. "What's the result?"
"It will most likely pass," Snape said.
Andy fell into deep thought upon hearing this.
The Ministry of Magic wants to eradicate the dementors?
This...
Could it be that I've misjudged?
Or... is this related to the fact that I took the mirror that connects to the Death Dimension?
Andy asked curiously, "The Ministry of Magic wants to get rid of the Dementors. How are they going to do that if they can't be killed?"
"I don't know." answered Snape.
Andy fell silent.
This was a bit unexpected.
After a moment's thought, Andy finally laughed, "Never mind. We'll soon find out the truth about the Dementors."
"There's less than an hour to go. Let's wait a bit longer."
Snape stopped talking on hearing this.
He had also come this time to see if Andy's judgement about the dementors was correct.
***
Time passed minute by minute.
At 9:55, Scrimgeour Apparated with two Aurors.
They were all acquaintances.
Kingsley and Dawlish.
Although the execution was announced in the newspapers, the Ministry of Magic would not let anyone witness the Dementor's Kiss.
Such a sight shouldn't be allowed to be witnessed by the public.
Andy and Snape remained invisible, watching the scene in silence.
"Thirteen people..." Andy said.
Snape became a little wary. "What are you going to do?"
"Let's go and have a look," Andy said and followed them directly.
The small number of people boosted Andy's courage.
Since the advantage in combat power is on our side, even if we are discovered, we can just defeat them and escape.
This is roughly what it means by 'great skill gives one courage!'
Scrimgeour spoke to the Aurors on guard for a while and then led the other Aurors to an elevated platform.
The Dementors seemed to know what was about to happen, because when they saw Scrimgeour and the others appear, the Dementor swarm immediately became agitated.
They gathered in droves, floating in groups above the platform and showing no sign of leaving.
"Dementors... what a filthy bunch of creatures!" someone muttered under their breath.
Scrimgeour gave the man a look and said indifferently, "The Ministry is already considering ways to deal with the Dementors."
"What will happen in the future?" the man asked.
"They'll probably have the Aurors watch in shifts." Scrimgeour whispered.
The crowd: "..."
On hearing this, the Aurors unexpectedly found these Dementors no longer that revolting.
Andy, who had been standing invisibly nearby, naturally heard this as well.
So it was true.
He took a deep breath... Whatever the truth, the Dementor's Kiss will begin soon.
After a while, a team of Aurors escorted three prisoners over.
Three Death Eaters.
It seemed that they knew their fate, as two of them were already trembling with fear. They looked up at the dementors hovering above them, their eyes filled with despair and terror.
"No, you can't do this to me!"
"This isn't fair!"
"I have evidence against many people! I can name them!"
Scrimgeour gave the two of them a cold stare, ignoring their cries for help, and fixed his gaze on the third.
Andy recognised him.
Antonin Dolohov, Voldemort's loyal dog, he had participated in the last wizard war and tortured many muggles and people who did not support Voldemort.
This person has good strength and ranks at the top among the Death Eaters.
Dolohov looked up and then grinned, which made his expression even more distorted.
"The Dark Lord will not fail, and I will be waiting for you in hell!" Dolohov said.
Dawlish was a little dissatisfied: "You'll go to hell first!"
Dolohov stared at him menacingly for a while, then burst out cackling, "A new Dark Lord is rising; his power far surpasses Lord Voldemort! Many of us have surrendered to him; I'm just a little late."
"Listen, this isn't the end!"
Andy: "..."
Who the hell are you talking about?
