And it was moms yelling. We all got dressed in cleaner clothes and ran to moms room. They weren't there. We ran to the Grand Hall. I saw Eliana on the floor. She was in a beautiful dress. I figured why she was crying. She was married for two weeks and today she had to take the crown. I suddenly remembered. It was May 20th. Eliana's birthday. She was 18. She was 17 last summer. I walked up to her and put a hand on her shoulder. " Mom, Who is she being married off to?" " Charles !" Mom answered violently as Eliana cried some more hearing his name. Me, Emily, and Rezuela walked Eliana out of there. When we got to my room we stopped to talk. We had Emily and Rezuela leave for privacy. She told me that she made a deal with mom that backfired. Mom originally wanted Eiana to marry Charles when she was 18 but Eliana said she would let me and Kyle break up to not marry him. That meant me and Kyle couldn't date. Again! I raised my hand to slap her but someone grabbed my hand. Kyle. He stopped me from slapping her and walked off saying," Don't hit people." I felt my world shred into 1,000 tiny pieces. I was devastated. Didn't he hear what she had said? I spent the next two weeks in my bed taking tiny nibbles of the plates left outside my door. I lost another 20 pounds during that time. During the day of the wedding Mom left an outfit outside of everyone's door. I grabbed mine to see a pretty white dress. I smiled. Maybe breaking up with him wouldn't be the worst thing. I got dressed and went out to see a lot of people dressed and running all over the place. When mom saw me she started to cry. "Thank goodness. Come sit on the carriage with you sisters." Eliana was in the middle and Xnile and I were on the sides as we were taken to the wedding place.. Eliana didn't say a word to either of us. She had dry tears in her eyes and looked like she could pass out any moment. I felt so bad for her. She was being forced into a marriage she didn't want. Poor thing. I didn't feel bad for Charles though. He was lucky to have someone like Eliana. He should be grateful. When the wedding started everyone was having a good time. I was minding my own business when a cute guy walked up to me. " Isn't it illegal for the sister to be prettier than the bride?"
I stared at him in confusion. I had no idea who he was. " Um…" He laughed.' That's okay, I'm Jake. You" " Mazor—" " Just kidding. Everyone here knows who you are, and your sisters." " Okay, nice meeting you, Bye." With that I started to walk off. I saw the guy behind me smacking himself saying," Stupid,Idiot,Crazy,Dumb." Weird guy. Someone then violently grabbed my hand and dragged me to a corner. Kyle. " I know we have to break up but don't go seducing new guys yet!" I was pissed. I smacked him hard. " WELL I'M NOT LIKE YOU AND WOULD NEVER DO THAT!" He took my hand before I could leave. " Wait , sorry." He looked confused when he saw my hand. " Have you lost weight?" I laughed awkwardly. " Why does it matter? " Because I DO care about you. Even if you don't think I do." " Then why did you act like that in Eliana's room?" I asked as tears started to pour down my cheeks. " Because I was mad, not at you just at life and myself, I really do love you and I didn't want to break up again and I just… I dunno, did what I did, it was stupid and I'm sorry." I whipped my face and made a bold decision. " Listen Kyle, I love you but I can't take the fact that everything you do is a stupid decision. You always end up breaking my heart one way or another. We can't date anymore and that's it. We can still be friends though, if that's okay with you." He faked a smile. " Okay." With that he hugged me and walked away. I then felt a hand on my shoulder. " If that's how you truly feel then you made the right choice." Rezuela said consolingly.Then it was time for the ceremony. Everyone took their seats except me and Smile. We were bridesmaids of Eliana so we stood up there right behind her. The pristost said , "Charles , will you take Eliana to be your lovely wedded wife for the rest of your life?" " Yes I will." He said boldly. He always seemed to like her after me. " Eliana, will you take Charles to be your lovely wedded husband for the rest of your life?" that when Eliana froze on the stage.
She whipped a tear from her eye. The priest asked again, " Eliana, will you take Charles to be your Lovely wedded husband. For the rest of your life." I was annoyed he separated for the rest of your life from the rest of the sentence cuz it only made her more terrified. She took a glance at the audience before murmuring a tiny " Yes." I was guessing she saw moms terrifyingly scary face. " You may now kiss the bride." The priest minister said to Charles . It took them 12 seconds longer to kiss than a normal couple but after Eliana ran out crying into the bride's sweet and didn't come back out. Then after it was time for the second oldest sister's speech.I got up on the stage praying i would do good. " Marry your best friend. I do not say that lightly. Really,truly find the strongest happiest friendship in the person you fall in love with. Someone who speaks highly of you. Someone you can laugh with. The kind of laughs that make your belly ache, and your nose snort. The embarrassing, earnest, healing kind of laugh.Wit is important. Life's too short not to love someone who lets you be a fool in front of them. Make sure they are somebody who lets you cry too. Despair will come. Find someone you want to be there with you through those times.And finally, don't marry the person you can live with, marry the person you cannot live without." The whole audience clapped. It was so loud I almost covered my ears but I didn't because that didn't look professional. I even saw a tiny piece of Eliana's dress scurrying away with some snacks. I smiled. When I walked off the stage lots of people gave me high fives or " Good job!" 's. Then it was time for the slow dance. Everyone was dancing except me. Rezuela was dancing with some random guy. Xnile with Eldon. Eliana with Charles . ( I know she doesn't want to either.) Kyle with some random girl. When I saw that I smiled. He needed someone new. I then saw the same boy from earlier walking up to me. When he asked me to dance I finally said yes. It was time for a new start. For all of us.
