"So… Sabushi actually ordered our guys to die just for a chance to bring Hina back?"Haruto's voice was low, cynical. He leaned against the concrete wall, one leg bent, arms folded, a cigar smoldering between his lips.
"Yeah. Seems like that's exactly what he wants."Lala sighed as she stripped off her school uniform, tossing it to the side without care.
"Boring... More people dying for nothing. I wonder what that man's really planning."Haruto exhaled smoke slowly, eyes half-lidded.
"No clue. I just follow orders," Lala said flatly, stretching her arms above her head. Her posture was relaxed—too relaxed for someone discussing imminent death.
"That's a shitty answer," Haruto muttered.
"I don't have a choice, and you know it."
As she undressed completely in front of him, Haruto didn't flinch. No glance. No reaction.
Despite Lala's athletic and clearly seductive body—light scars tracing along her skin—Haruto remained indifferent.
Still smoking.
"So?" he asked, changing the subject. "What intel did you gather today?"
Lala, now in just her underwear, turned toward him casually, as if nudity was second nature.
"Not much, but it seems things between Hina and Kai are getting tense. He's growing tired of her possessive behavior. Or at least, that's what I picked up. We might be able to use that."
Haruto raised a brow.
"I doubt that. Otherwise, Hina wouldn't have taken him with her."
Lala pouted slightly.
"You okay?" he asked, finally turning toward her.
"I mean… I'm standing here completely naked in front of you—a sight men would pay millions to see—and you're just standing there like it's nothing? Not even one compliment?"
Haruto sighed, unimpressed.
"You know how I am. You know what I feel." He said, with a cold voice.
A shadow passed over Lala's expression. Confusion. Resentment. Maybe even hurt.
"You're boring. At least , not so long ago, you used to touch me…" she murmured.
"Hina will never love you," she added bitterly. "Especially after what you did to Kai."
That one hit a nerve.
Haruto's eyes snapped to hers, cold and sharp like blades.
"Don't you ever say that again."
Lala flinched.
"And don't flatter yourself. I've got no interest in a body that's been passed around."
His voice was flat, emotionless. Cruel.
Lala's face twisted in shock, offense, then anger.
"Oh? That wasn't your opinion when you used to sleep with me," she spat. "Funny how convenient that attitude is."
Haruto didn't respond.
He simply turned his back to her.
"Get dressed. We've got work to do."
"You're no fun. Maybe I'll go after Kai instead," Lala teased, pulling on her underwear. "Not a bad-looking guy, really. And I get the feeling… he'd be very aggressive in bed."
Haruto raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"
"I mean he scared me a little," she said, fumbling with her bra. "There was something off. He didn't feel like the innocent guy you described. He was… somewhere else, mentally. Absent. Like he's breaking down from the inside."
Haruto leaned forward slightly.
"I've been thinking the same thing," he admitted. "He's reached a point of no return. He's hurting, but hiding it. And I get it. I know him well, too well."
There was a strange heaviness in his voice now.
"At school, he was always kind. Helped everyone. The perfect classmate. But what he's been through with Hina… it's changed him. He's probably already killed someone by now."
Lala blinked, digesting that.
Then she asked, softly, "Do you think he enjoys it?"
Haruto looked at her.
"I think... he doesn't even know anymore."
Lala, now fully dressed, walked toward him and leaned against the same wall.
Another pause.
"I don't get it," she said, more to herself. "What's so special about him?"
Haruto gave a cold little smirk.
"If Hina got that attached to him," he said, lighting another cigar, "then whoever Kai really is… was never someone normal to begin with."
He exhaled smoke.
"She doesn't fall for good people."
Lala then spoke again.
"Okay, understood, but let's change topic now, Hina always scared me even if you only say the name of her boyfriend. So? What's next? Do I look pretty?" She asked.
Haruto sighed again, annoyed by her behavior.
"Let's go, Father has order for us." He said, with a cold voice.
Lala pouted again and sighed.
"You're so annoying..." She said.
After that, they began to walk towards Sabushi.
He probably had some plan in his mind... and it wasn't a good thing.
