The blue petals trembled, one by one, petals detached from the flower, but instead of falling to the ground, they floated in mid-air, supported by an unseen force.
Jora took a closer look and only then did she realize that the blue objects floating in the air weren't petals at all—they were ice-blue butterflies.
Their wings gently quivered, revealing their true form. Within just a few breaths, the flower on the ground was left with nothing but its ugly pistil.
The entire space was now densely covered with ice butterflies.
Jora could feel the hidden aggression emanating from these ice butterflies, but their target was not her—it was the figure concealed in the lake water.
"What's going on?"
At this moment, Jora noticed that Roger's body was gradually returning to normal. She couldn't tell whether it was because too much Life Essence had been infused into his core structure or if the spring water had somehow isolated him from the surrounding cold.
