"Again with this damn dream... I feel like my head might explode," Isaac said, rubbing his head as he got up from bed. "Man, I'm gonna be late today—I can't be late! Today is my Awakening Ceremony at school. If I'm late and miss this chance, I'm done for!"
Isaac rushed out of the small apartment given to him by his senior brother, a saint. Isaac was an orphan, adopted by a young saint when he began his journey in this magical world.
"I have to at least awaken a decent talent, or I'll be a disappointment again. And I don't want that—not again," Isaac muttered as he walked into his school. Soon, he reached his classroom and sat at the back bench. He wasn't a particularly good or bad student. In fact, he knew more than most of his peers, but he never performed well. He didn't want to stand out before awakening his talent. If he did, and it turned out weak, he'd become a laughingstock. It wouldn't just embarrass him—it would shame his brother, whom he hadn't seen in over two years.
His brother had mysteriously disappeared into the Hidden Realm, and every trace of him was erased from the world. Isaac himself had been targeted too.But before disappearing, his brother had warned him: "Don't use my title or anything connected to me." His brother possessed rare abilities—he could see fate and manipulate time, space, and souls.
That's why Isaac lived in the apartment his brother had bought and registered in his name. His brother had promised to return and guide him through miraculous soul and space-time skills. Isaac couldn't wait. His brother had always protected him from threats—demonic followers, outworlders, or worse.
The world Isaac lived in was full of magic, magical beasts, mysterious races, and frequent invasions by outworlders. Every year, new cities rose and countless people fell. Still, people fought back with magic and talent. This made the world of Atlan powerful and more diverse than other realms. But, as they say, "opportunity comes with danger." Atlan had become a gold mine for outworlders.
To protect their home, powerful beings had built a magical barrier around the world. But the outworlders still found ways to descend—by forming cults, gathering followers, and using hidden methods.
"Good afternoon, class. Today is the most important day of your life," said Miss Nye Rains, their teacher, capturing the students' full attention. "Let's begin. I'll call your names—step forward and stand in the Awakening Circle."
"Let's welcome Siya Firebone," she announced, calling forward the school beauty.
Siya Firebone, with her golden hair and ember-like eyes, walked gracefully toward the circle. The moment she stepped inside, the Awakening Circle began to glow. A bright light enveloped her, and her talent was immediately revealed to the appraisal board.
