Jiraiya gave a look to Hiruko, who was sitting in the corner.
His meaning was clear: he wanted Hiruko to monitor Kabuto, making sure he didn't pull anything tricky while reviving Orochimaru and the Third Hokage.
Jiraiya had always taken Kabuto, the major antagonist in Naruto, very seriously.
"Since you're the Hokage, I'll help you with this," Hiruko said.
On the surface, he acted impatient, as though watching Kabuto would interfere with his research time.
But deep inside, he was a person who lacked security and wanted to prove his own worth.
Being given a task meant Jiraiya needed him, and that made him feel quite satisfied.
"Then, I'll leave it to you," Jiraiya replied with a laugh, not minding Hiruko's tone.
After Hiruko left, Jiraiya turned to the others in the room and said, "Next, let's talk about Kisame."
