Chapter 186 - Chapter 186: One Life, Two Brothers—Hyuga Sasuke and Hyuga Naruto

Uzumaki Naruto.

He was supposed to be the Child of Prophecy—the one who would save the ninja world, following the script laid out by the Great Toad Sage and the Sage of Six Paths.

He looked like he had his own will, but in reality, he was just an empty shell playing the role of "the protagonist."

But even so, he had many admirable qualities—straightforwardness, kindness, courage.

In the end, all of these traits shaped his unique ninja way:

Say what's on your mind, and always keep your word!

Now, he was simply applying that ninja way to a different area of life.

He was Uzumaki Naruto. If he said he was going to switch dads, then he would follow through—because that was just the kind of honest, decisive person he was.

To be fair, because of how realistic the Limited Tsukuyomi world was—and because time inside it had skipped forward many years, even longer than he had lived in his original world—Naruto was starting to have trouble distinguishing between reality and illusion.

But that didn't shake his beliefs.

He was absolutely certain that if Hyuga Hitoshi were his father, then the tragedies of Konoha—and the entire ninja world—would never have happened.

He hid in the shadows, watching as his actions made his hot-tempered mother reveal a shy smile. He also saw how the ever-wild Sun God accepted every advance without hesitation. This made Naruto feel genuinely relieved—no matter the world, the Sun God's way of winning over women was truly terrifying.

No, perhaps now he should start calling him "Father."

As time passed, Naruto, still uneasy and worried that something might go wrong, continued to observe. He even helped Hyuga Hitoshi court his mother. Thanks to his assistance, not even the Third Hokage and Danzo—who strongly opposed the idea of the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki marrying into the Hyuga clan—could do anything to stop it.

And Kushina firmly stated that if they didn't want the Nine-Tails to go on a rampage, they'd better respect her wishes.

Fate had changed, but under the timeline shaped by the Ryumyaku, Minato still became the "Yellow Flash of Konoha." However, in this life, he was destined to remain single forever—dedicating himself wholly to the village, without the burdens of a wife or child.

In this life, he became the great Hokage he had always dreamed of being. And thanks to Hyuga Hitoshi's presence, the Nine-Tails attack never even happened. The moment Obito appeared, he was so terrified by the mighty Sun God that he fled with his hands over his head. Konoha remained Konoha, and under the guidance of the "Little Sun," even the tensions between the Uchiha and the village eased.

Naruto was very satisfied with how things had turned out in this new timeline. However, what he didn't realize was that his straightforward actions didn't just affect him. It wasn't just Kushina in the limited Tsukuyomi world who was impacted.

It wasn't until the new Naruto was about to be born—when he opened his eyes as a baby once again—that he finally saw the shocked and conflicted expression on his mother's face.

"Heh, I knew Lord Hitoshi wouldn't pass up this opportunity. A widow—uh, I mean, a resurrected widow—seems to be exactly his type."

Beyond the Shinobi world, beneath the void of the Sun God Star…

Yugito glanced at the pixelated projection on her left, then at the two figures who had disappeared from their seats. She smiled slightly, as if everything was going just as expected.

She believed she understood the Sun God quite well—at least in some areas.

So, when Hyuga Hitoshi had just suggested to Kushina whether she wanted to give Naruto a real childhood, and Kushina hesitated, Yugito immediately stepped in—bringing Kushina's chakra with her—into the limited Tsukuyomi world.

For the one casting the jutsu, this wasn't difficult.

But the difference was that instead of simply replacing illusions with illusions, the Sun God used real bodies to replace the imaginary ones in the limited Tsukuyomi. In other words, inside this world, aside from Naruto, both his new father and his mother were their actual selves.

And what was even more terrifying was that, to ensure authenticity, the great Sun God restored Kushina's body to a certain point in time. Then, using his powerful control over time, he reshaped the false Tsukuyomi world—turning parts of the illusion into "reality"!

For Hyuga Hitoshi, who had absorbed the God Tree's fruit and reached the seventh stage, approaching the level of Otsutsuki Shibai, this wasn't a difficult task. A true god could reshape reality with mere words. Hyuga Hitoshi hadn't reached that level yet, but using a weaker version of reality manipulation—especially when it only involved a chakra construct and an incomplete Naruto—was no big deal.

Of course, the seemingly complicated situation could be summed up in one simple sentence:

Hyuga Hitoshi used his power to turn certain events inside the Tsukuyomi world into reality, inserting both himself and Kushina into the story.

And then, things took an unexpected turn.

Under Naruto's influence, the mighty Sun God, while Kushina kept telling herself it was all just a dream, ended up taking advantage of Naruto's mother in her half-hearted resistance.

And then, Kushina had a child.

Yes.

Naruto was born, and he was born with the Byakugan.

That was the reason for Kushina's shock and complicated emotions.

The good news was that she had miraculously come back to life and could now be part of her son's childhood. That was enough to make her overjoyed.

The bad news? She had been forcibly taken by her new husband—with her own son's help.

…Actually, maybe that wasn't such bad news.

At the very least, it confirmed that her new "husband" was indeed powerful.

She might not know much, but one thing was certain—his stamina was absolutely maxed out.

Honestly, after everything she went through before getting pregnant with Naruto, she finally understood why this man had so many divine concubines.

That feeling of being lifted into the heavens…

She now fully realized it.

Forget the excuse about just wanting to give Naruto a happy childhood—this guy had planned from the start to make her his!

And when she finally gave birth to Naruto, Kushina realized she had truly been fooled.

She had been revived, yes.

But she had also given Naruto a new father—not just in name, but in every sense of the word.

And now, she had a new name as well.

She was Hyuga Kushina.

There was no doubt about it. The reason things turned out this way was all because of the little troublemaker she had just given birth to.

In fact, ever since Naruto had harnessed the power of the Ryumyaku and traveled back in time, Kushina—who had still been outside of the limited Tsukuyomi—had already sensed that something was wrong.

Especially when she saw her son swapping out her husband right in front of her eyes.

At that moment, her face had turned red like a monkey's backside.

But what was even stranger was that…

She had actually been looking forward to seeing how things would unfold.

But while Kushina had expectations, Hyuga Hitoshi was downright unhappy.

And the reason was simple.

Even though he knew the version of himself inside the illusion was just a fake projection, he still couldn't accept that a mere illusion of himself was out there seducing women—especially a fresh one.

So, without hesitation, he chose to enter the script in his true form, bringing Kushina along with him.

Love blossomed, and Naruto was conceived. Everything happened so naturally.

Hyuga Hitoshi seamlessly transitioned between the dream and reality, enjoying the experience to the fullest.

Looking at the newborn Naruto, Hyuga Hitoshi smiled slightly, giving his "temporary" son a high evaluation for this trial within the limited Tsukuyomi.

"Such a young age, yet already bold enough to break the rules. You speak your mind and act on it. Your honesty and sincerity deserve the Sun God's recognition."

And since it was a reward, and since Naruto had indeed become his son thanks to his wild actions, Hyuga Hitoshi had no reason to hold back.

He gently placed his finger on the newborn Naruto's forehead.

At that moment, Naruto felt a warm sensation, and his eyes slowly closed.

In that instant, he was granted a new power—the "Sun God Seal."

But this seemingly simple ritual also gave Naruto an unfamiliar feeling.

Perhaps, in that moment, he interpreted the warmth as the love of a father.

Hyuga Hitoshi had no reservations about using real actions to make up for the past wounds in Naruto's heart.

At least, in this limited Tsukuyomi world, Naruto was indeed his child.

Even if the bloodline power carried over into the real world—meaning that when Naruto woke up from this "dream," he would find himself with a pair of Byakugan—this wasn't a big issue.

That would be Kushina's job to explain, now that she had fully come back to life.

As for changing his surname and officially recognizing his new father?

Hyuga Hitoshi wouldn't reject that at all.

After all, he never saw having more children as a burden.

With his strength, he could easily protect all of his bloodline.

And besides—every once in a while, all of his children would gather to visit him.

That was a regular parent-child activity.

This month's session hadn't arrived yet.

But if any of them wanted to visit early…

He never stopped them.

After all, as a mature man, he understood the responsibility that came with the weight on his shoulders.

Just as Hyuga Hitoshi was about to make up for Naruto's childhood through his actions and personally encourage the fiery redhead to try new things, an unexpected turn of events occurred again.

A bright blue light flashed in his eyes, and for a brief moment, Hyuga Hitoshi saw beyond Naruto's Limited Tsukuyomi world. It was Sasuke's trial. However, what shocked him was that Sasuke had also started his own wild scheme.

Following a familiar process, after securing Black Zetsu's promise to help release the Infinite Tsukuyomi and save Kaguya, Sasuke, just like Naruto, arrived at the Dragon Vein. What left Hyuga Hitoshi speechless was that Sasuke's experiments within the new timeline were even bolder than Naruto's.

"If I can't change their minds, then I'll fix it at the genetic level!"

After traveling back in time, Sasuke first confirmed the timeline. Then, he introduced his mother, Uchiha Mikoto, to Hyuga Hitoshi. After that, his gaze naturally shifted to Naruto's mother, Kushina.

"Brothers for life!"

Taking a deep breath, Sasuke made a bold decision—he introduced both his mother and Naruto's mother to Hyuga Hitoshi. He firmly believed that if Naruto had a different father, that naive, hopelessly self-sacrificing fool might finally change.

Not only that, but Sasuke also considered the long-standing conflict within the Uchiha clan. He confidently believed that if his mother, Uchiha Mikoto, became the clan leader and had Hyuga Hitoshi backing her, the Uchiha clan would never be suppressed or isolated by the village again. This was the true solution to the root of the problem!

However, Sasuke's plan left Hyuga Hitoshi, the supposed father, completely speechless. He couldn't shake the feeling that his own son was deliberately making things difficult for him. After all, he couldn't just send a clone into another Tsukuyomi world—forcing a clone to deal with his own women felt like an act of self-sabotage.

Since that was the case...

"Sigh."

In the end, Hyuga Hitoshi let out a sigh of satisfaction and smiled.

"No matter the world, you both still managed to find the best way to pass the Limited Tsukuyomi trial. Should I say, as expected of the protagonists? Even this kind of challenge couldn't stop you. Fine, congratulations on clearing the trial. Now, it's time to enjoy the rewards."

At that moment, a golden Tenseigan illusion appeared behind Hyuga Hitoshi. The nine-tomoe patterns on it began to glow red.

In the real world, under the influence of his eye power, Yugito and Samui were shocked to see the two projection worlds slowly merging.

The scenes within the projection started moving rapidly, revealing a completely different development of the ninja world—one they had never seen before.

And it all started with the legendary man of the Hyuga clan.

With an unprecedented charm, he won over the mothers of the two destined children, taking them both as his wives. Naturally, they both became pregnant.

A powerful man had the strength to control everything. Any schemers lurking in the shadows dared not make a move after witnessing his might. And in this peaceful life, the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, Uzumaki Kushina, and the new leader of the Uchiha clan, Uchiha Mikoto—no, now Hyuga Kushina and Hyuga Mikoto—both gave birth at the same time, bringing two new lives into the world for the great Sun God.

They were true blood brothers!

Even Yugito and Samui, watching from the outside, could see the stunned expressions on the two newborns' faces as they stared at each other. Their eyes seemed to say, "You actually went through with it?"

But what shocked them even more was that, because of this powerful man's existence, the Nine-Tails incident never happened. The Uchiha clan was never suspected. With the Fourth Hokage, Namikaze Minato, alive and well, and the Third Hokage finally stepping down after being repeatedly criticized, the village entered a new era of stability. Under Mikoto's leadership, the Uchiha clan learned to keep a low profile. Her first order to Admiral Shisui was to use Kotoamatsukami to control Uchiha Itachi—Fugaku's eldest son—so he wouldn't lose his mind.

In the Limited Tsukuyomi world, everything seemed to fall into place perfectly. Naruto gained the childhood and family he had always longed for, along with a cool, show-off brother named Sasuke. He spent every day laughing like he was on a sugar high.

Sasuke, on the other hand, no longer had an older brother who constantly caused trouble. He was relieved to see Naruto change and was able to resolve the Uchiha clan's conflict with Konoha without bloodshed. Because Minato was still alive, the Uchiha clan and Konoha stood united. Even Kumogakure dared not provoke the Land of Fire.

Without a doubt, Sasuke had made the right choice.

Relying on a stronger figure was the ultimate strategy to clear the Limited Tsukuyomi world! After making the right choices, this wasn't a trial anymore—it was pure enjoyment. That was what Hyuga Sasuke believed.

And the ninja world's future developments only confirmed Sasuke's thoughts.

The great Sun God continued taking wives while also forming an alliance with Nagato's Akatsuki. Their goal? Releasing the Infinite Tsukuyomi to save Kaguya.

Meanwhile, Minato fully stepped into the role of Hokage. Unlike the Third Hokage, who failed to act decisively, Minato devoted all his energy to managing the village. Without a wife and child tying him down, and with Danzo and Sarutobi serving as bad examples, Minato became known as the most dedicated Hokage in history.

However, whenever he looked at one of the two outstanding boys growing up in the village, an awkward expression would flash across his face. But that boy, Hyuga Naruto, would always nod at him reassuringly and say, "Since you're willing to give up everything for the village, then you must stick to it. This time, no one will take anything away from you."

Minato had no idea what Naruto meant, but all he could do was smile in response.

One was a Hokage.

The other was just an ordinary ninja.

One perfectly embodied duty and responsibility.

The other enjoyed a complete childhood.

Without a doubt, they both had bright futures ahead of them.

From childhood to adolescence, and then to adulthood, Naruto and Sasuke's existence made Konoha shine like never before. When facing ideological conflicts with Nagato and threats to the ninja world, they had the power to talk things out from a position of strength. As true brothers in this life, they were more in sync, more trusting, and understood each other better than ever. Their bond was unshakable, allowing them to move past the struggles of their original destinies.

But what satisfied them most was that they had included the great Sun God in their plans. When the Rabbit Goddess finally broke free from her seal and prepared to act, Hyuga Hitoshi subdued her once again. At that moment, Naruto and Sasuke felt incredibly grateful for their decision.

It was an unexpected benefit. Had they not gone back in time to change their bloodlines and awaken a certain man, Kaguya would have undoubtedly taught them a painful lesson.

And so, the Limited Tsukuyomi world came to an end.

Naruto had a complete childhood.

Sasuke saved the Uchiha clan and became Naruto's blood brother.

Minato became a responsible Hokage.

The Third Hokage was forced into retirement.

Danzo died on some mission.

Orochimaru, terrified, abandoned his Konoha destruction plan, realizing that Konoha's twin prodigies had already become terrifyingly strong.

Nagato awakened to the truth and founded a new alliance of small nations—the Dawn Organization.

Obito?

His Moon's Eye Plan was stolen. His dream world with Rin collapsed. He became a complete failure.

Especially after Uchiha Madara and Senju Hashirama were ordered to join the construction team, Obito had no idea what to do with his life anymore.

And in the end, the only one who truly suffered in the Limited Tsukuyomi world was Obito.

Inside the warehouse, Sasuke and Naruto opened their eyes at the same time. When the door swung open, they instinctively turned to look at each other, just as they had in the world of the Limited Tsukuyomi. Their synchronization was uncanny.

At the same moment, they both rushed toward each other. They opened their mouths as if to speak, but in the end, they just smiled.

Whether as friends or like real brothers, the bond between them would never change. It was something that belonged to them alone.

"Feels like I just woke up from a dream."

Having lived an entire lifetime in the Limited Tsukuyomi, Naruto's once-childish gaze now carried a hint of depth. But the sight of those white pupils made Sasuke pause for a moment.

"Maybe it wasn't just a dream."

Sasuke handed Naruto a mirror and pointed at his eyes. When Naruto saw the color of his pupils, he was first shocked, then overjoyed. He immediately sprinted toward Kushina, grinning like an idiot as he showed off his "prize."

"Mom! This trial was amazing! It actually changed my eyes! Oh, right—why couldn't I contact you after the trial started? You have no idea how nervous I was! In the end, I panicked and ended up getting you a new husband, hehe. But it felt just like a dream, so since it didn't really affect reality, I didn't bother asking for your permission."

So you still think this was just a trial for you?

What about me, your mother? Wasn't it a trial for me too?

Kushina opened her mouth but had no words. Her face was full of helplessness.

Alright, she understood now.

Calling it a dream was complete nonsense.

The moment Naruto awakened the Byakugan, the illusions of the Tsukuyomi world might as well have been real events. She had no idea how that man did it, but one thing was clear—Naruto had unquestionably become his son.

But how was she supposed to explain that she, his mother, had been tricked by her own son into willingly throwing herself into the arms of a beast?

Forget it. She was done. Let the world burn.

She glanced at the Sun God Seal on Naruto's forehead. With a sigh, she gave up on trying to make sense of it all. No matter how you looked at it, this was a good thing for Naruto.

In the Tsukuyomi world, she had already accepted this fate—just like when she had been shocked by that beast's stamina and personally experienced its consequences.

If resisting was pointless, she might as well embrace it and enjoy the ride!

It was all for her child, after all!

...Yes, she was definitely lying to herself.
