Huo Jingtang got into the car, drove it out, and headed onto the highway, blending into the night.
In the car, neither of them spoke. After the unpleasantness they had just experienced, they seemingly did not know what to say. Qin Yucen turned her head and watched the street scenery flash by until they reached the hotel. Qin Yucen led the way with Huo Jingtang following, they took the elevator up to their floor.
Qin Yucen stood in front of her hotel room door, "I'm here."
"Mhm," Huo Jingtang responded indifferently, "Since you're tired, rest well."
As he spoke, he did not turn away; his gaze was fixed on Qin Yucen as she faced her room door and took out her key card to unlock it.
Just as she reached out to push the door, she felt a force at her waist pushing her and the door inward. Before she could react, the door had closed, and Huo Jingtang had pinned her against it.
