"Don't get cocky," Enel growled through clenched teeth, face dark with fury. "Since you want to die, I'll gladly grant your wish."
As soon as the words fell, dazzling light burst from Enel's wrist. A thunderbolt as thick as a barrel shot out like a frenzied silver serpent, its gaping maw tearing toward Kaguya.
"How many times do I have to say this? Why don't you get it already?" Kaguya sighed. "Not everyone fears your lightning."
She raised her hand, and a powerful whirlwind gathered in her palm, forming a massive shuriken. With a flick, she hurled it forward.
"Sage Art: Wind Style—Rasenshuriken!"
With a piercing screech, the Rasenshuriken collided with the incoming lightning.
BOOM!
A thunderous explosion erupted, crackling lightning and roaring winds colliding mid-air.
Enel's eyes widened as his expression darkened.
"What?!"
The Rasenshuriken wasn't repelled by the lightning at all. Instead, it absorbed the lightning into its spinning vortex, cloaking itself in electricity. Now empowered, it roared forward even faster.
Enel tried to flee in a flash of lightning—but suddenly, thick vines erupted from the ground, wrapping tightly around his legs.
To his horror, he realized he couldn't activate his abilities.
Kaguya smirked, gloating. "Bon appétit."
CRASH!
With a piercing howl, wind and lightning exploded as the electrified Rasenshuriken slammed into Enel. His eyes bulged as blood spurted from his mouth, his body flung through the air like he'd been hit by a train.
"You thought being a Logia-type made you untouchable?" Kaguya said coldly. "Let's see if you still think that after I'm through with you."
In the world of Naruto, wind counters lightning. Kaguya hadn't understood that at first—how could wind defeat electricity?
But now she realized: lightning travels via ionized air, and strong winds disrupt that transmission. Hence, the Rasenshuriken could tear lightning apart.
As for the vines that bound Enel, the reason was simpler. With her mastery of the Shinra Bansho, Kaguya's power encompassed all elements, including Yin and Yang. While it didn't weaken Devil Fruit users like seastone, it could bind their true forms—similar to Armament Haki or Blackbeard's Dark-Dark Fruit.
Cough, cough!
A fit of coughing came from the scattered debris. Enel clawed his way out of broken branches, covered in wounds. Deep gashes marked his body from the Rasenshuriken, as if he'd been sliced alive—gruesome to behold.
"Looks like the self-proclaimed king destined to rule the world is having a tough day, huh?" Kaguya said, twirling a lock of her hair with her delicate fingers, sarcasm dripping from her tone.
"Damn you!" Enel wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, glaring at Kaguya with clenched teeth.
Truthfully, Enel's Devil Fruit—the Goro Goro no Mi—might be the most powerful among Logia types and perhaps among all Devil Fruits. It granted incredible speed, devastating offensive power, and large-scale area attacks. On paper, he was a well-rounded powerhouse.
But unfortunately, he was glass-cannon fragile. Worse still, he overly relied on his Devil Fruit abilities and had never trained in Armament Haki. As a result, while he may have been a major boss early on, in the later stages, he was just a punching bag.
In short, his potential was utterly wasted—a case of power squandered.
"How about this, I'll give you two options," Kaguya said, raising two fingers and giving them a playful shake.
"Options?" Enel narrowed his eyes.
"That's right," Kaguya beamed. "You can either hand over your Devil Fruit ability willingly, or—I beat you into the ground, and then you hand it over anyway."
"Never! Don't even dream of it!" Enel roared.
His power, his status—everything he had came from the Goro Goro no Mi. Without it, how could he defeat enemies? How could he realize his dream of world domination?
Kaguya wanted to tell him he was delusional. Devil Fruits relied on how well they were developed, and as time went on, their advantage diminished. Haki would always take the lead.
A guy like Enel wouldn't last a day in the New World—he'd be dog food.
"So what you're saying is... negotiations have failed?" Kaguya clapped her hands. "Fine. I admire your dedication. So to honor your bravery—" Her grin turned menacing. "—I'll beat you so bad your own mother won't recognize you."
Enel's face turned dark, veins bulging as he shouted, "What a joke! Don't get ahead of yourself!"
He spread his arms as lightning crackled around his body. A powerful shockwave suddenly erupted outward, expanding in rippling waves like a thunderous tsunami.
Kaguya's eyes narrowed slightly—surprised. She hadn't expected a breakthrough here and now.
If she wasn't mistaken, that was Conqueror's Haki.
So the guy had some backbone after all. Apparently, adversity was the mother of growth. Or maybe he was just a masochist.
Either way, Enel now stood tall, lightning surging around him, encasing his body in crackling arcs. Even the surrounding forest ignited under the intense heat.
Gritting his teeth, Enel growled, "You dared humiliate me like this... I'll make you suffer worse than death! I'll rip you to shreds!"
With that, he raised his arms and struck the drums on his shoulders.
Two massive bolts of electricity exploded forth from the drums, merging in the air to form a mighty dragon of thunder. With a deafening roar, its gaping maw lunged at Kaguya.
As the thunder dragon closed in on Kaguya, a twisted smirk appeared on Enel's face. His voice squeezed through clenched teeth: "Die."
This lightning dragon contained sixty million volts. Anything it touched would be turned to ash.
Just as the dragon was about to strike, Kaguya suddenly looked up and smiled radiantly. "Are you some kind of Taiko no Tatsujin?"
With a casual wave of her hand, an overwhelming invisible force burst forth like a sky-covering tsunami.
"Super Shinra Tensei!"
Enel's pupils shrank sharply.
BOOM!
A deafening explosion echoed through the sky.
The massive shockwave rippled outward in concentric circles. Rocks shattered, towering trees were snapped clean in half, and a fierce wind ripped through the land, tearing everything apart.
The terrifying lightning dragon was torn to pieces in an instant, disintegrating into nothingness amidst the flashing light.
"What?!"
Enel's eyes widened in shock.
BANG! With a muffled impact, the unprepared Enel was sent flying like a cannonball, smashing hard into a nearby mountain. CRASH! The mountain cracked and crumbled, collapsing completely.
His body embedded in the mountain, Enel's eyes bulged, and blood poured from his mouth.
The violent impact nearly displaced all his internal organs.
He quickly looked up, and his pupils contracted once again.
The lush forest that once covered Upper Yard had vanished. In its place was a massive crater, like a meteor had struck. Smoke still wafted from the pit, and shattered rocks and broken branches were strewn everywhere. The once-proud island had been reduced to a devastated wasteland.
How could this be possible?
At the same time, the approaching Shandians halted, eyes wide and mouths agape in shock, unable to speak for a long while.
A deafening roar like an earthquake had just shaken them to their core. When they looked up, they realized the once-verdant Upper Yard had been completely flattened.
What terrifying power was this?
Even from afar, they could feel the immense energy radiating from that blast. The sheer pressure made their skin crawl.
Could it be—someone was fighting Enel?
But how could that be possible?
The Shandians, who had fought countless battles against Enel, knew his strength all too well. Even though he was their enemy, they had to admit—Enel was a terrifying opponent.
They had launched countless assaults to reclaim their sacred Upper Yard, but every time, Enel had crushed them with overwhelming force. That kind of power left them in despair.
They had even come to believe reclaiming the island was an impossible dream.
And now, someone was actually fighting Enel?
And from the looks of it, they were evenly matched with Enel.
At that moment, Wyper seemed to realize something. His eyes snapped wide open.
Could it be... her?
Kaguya stepped lightly across broken branches and leaves, a mocking smile on her lips. "So much for being a Taiko master. Did you buy a knock-off set or what?"
Enel's bloodshot eyes looked as though they might burst into flames. His voice, squeezed through gritted teeth, was filled with rage. "What have you done to my land… Unforgivable! UNFORGIVABLE!"
His voice rose into a roar.
Suddenly, dazzling light burst from Enel's body. Lightning crackled and thunder roared. The once-clear sky darkened with storm clouds, and bolts of lightning slithered like silver serpents, filling the sky with deafening crashes.
With a crack of thunder, a blinding bolt of lightning struck down.
When the light faded, a massive titan stood in Enel's place. Muscular and towering, his entire body was wreathed in electricity, crackling and popping. A terrifying pressure erupted from him like a tidal wave.
"200 million volts—Raijin!"
"You're dead! I'll tear you to pieces!" Enel raised both hands and let out a sky-shattering roar.
"Thunder Welcome!"
As soon as he shouted, the clouds above parted into a circular gap. From the opening, a black sphere wreathed in lightning appeared, radiating a fearsome aura.
Kaguya raised an eyebrow. She could feel the power in that sphere—a ball of lightning, pure energy compressed into a destructive force. Even from a distance, it was terrifying.
She had slightly underestimated Enel. As expected from a user of the so-called strongest Logia fruit, creating lightning of this caliber was no joke.
"Hey, can I ask you something?" Kaguya suddenly spoke.
"Hmph." A sinister grin crept across Enel's face. "Begging for mercy now? It's too late. But I'll make your death quick."
"No, no," Kaguya shook her head and pointed at the sky. "I just wanted to ask—wanna compare whose ball is bigger?"
"Huh?" Enel frowned and looked up—and his eyes nearly popped out.
"W-what is that thing?!"
Hovering above was a colossal meteor, so massive its edges stretched beyond view. Compared to it, Enel's Thunder Welcome looked like a ping pong ball.
It was Kaguya's Tengai Shinsei.
Before Enel could even respond, the flaming meteor plummeted from the sky and crashed into the Thunder Welcome.
BOOM!
In a blinding flash, Enel's ball of lightning twisted, warped, and was shredded to pieces, vanishing into glittering motes of light.
But the meteor did not stop.
BOOM!
A blinding column of light split the sky as a deafening roar echoed across the entire Sky Island. A towering mushroom cloud rose, flames erupting into the heavens. Smoke blanketed the sky, and the shockwave flattened everything in its path. In the blink of an eye, everything had been reduced to rubble.
