"Lu Xiaoou, you're putting on a bit much of a show today."
Lin Yan had a feeling she couldn't quite describe about her son's performance today.
Ou replied with a serious expression, "I wasn't acting. He grabbed my collar, but I can't beat him. If you can't win, the best choice is to seek help. Only a fool would fight back recklessly."
Lin Yan said, "Let's move out. Mommy has thought it through. Living here isn't good for you—the house is crowded, and there's too much conflict. I want my son to have a happy childhood."
Ou clasped his small hands together and leaned toward Mommy's ear, saying, "I don't want to move, Mommy."
Lin Yan looked puzzled. "Why? Is there someone here you can't bear to leave?"
Ou replied, his tone tinged with sadness, "Great Grandmother... She always asks me to chat with her because she seems so lonely. I wait for her at the door every day after school. She's very old; who knows how much time she's left to have someone accompany her."
